8732 was launched with great fanfare in August 2007 with an exclusive VIPs only party in Atlanta for 8732 and Young Jeezy, attended by industry A-listers like L.A Reid, Lil Wayne, T.I.. The brand is backed by Jay-Z’s Rocawear.

From 8732’s promotional copy: “8732 examines the origins of hiphop by journeying from the zones, wards and boroughs of the urban streets. Our way of life is a tradition of honor, loyalty, respect and most of all perseverance. inspiration and belief are forged from every day dreams and transformed into success stories. 8732 is the embodiment of hustlers in every walk of life from street corners to corner offices. 8732 is the collective view of what makes a “street dream”.”

Jay Jenkins was born in Columbia, South Carolina. He released his first independent album, “Thuggin’ Under the Influence (T.U.I.)” in 2001 under the name Lil J. In 2007, Young Jeezy released “Cold Summer”. Young Jeezy presented a week-long toy drive and charity event series with his Corporate Thugz Entertainment (CTE) family with the first annual Toyz n da Hood toy drive.
