Nasir Jones, better known by his stage name Nas, formerly Nasty Nas, is an American rapper. Nas signed to Jay-Z’s label Def Jam in 2006; Def Jam released his albums Hip Hop is Dead in 2006 and an untitled album in 2008. The highly publicized feud rivalry between Nas and Jay-Z started around 2001. By October 2005, the two rappers had eventually ended their feud without violence or animosity.
