MP Wear by David Banner
Year launched: 2007
David Banner spits rough rhymes over southern beats, and he’s got a clothing line that extends his distinct message. His clothing line dubbed MP Wear will begin with a jersey dedicated to a slain boy named Emmitt Till. Till’s death helped jumpstart the Civil Rights movement. Civil Rights legend Rosa Parks has stated that the thought of the 14-year-old from Chicago being murdered for allegedly whistling at a white woman — while visiting family in Mississippi — made her stay in the front of the bus.
