Miho Nikaido’s clothing line miho-miho was launched in May 2001 with the first fashion show Bollywood, attended by an audience of 250 at The Point Gallery NY. The show was filmed and included in a documentary about miho-miho, which was aired on Japanese NHK TV. Since then Nikaido has continued showing runway fashion shows during New York Fashion Week. She has also made the experimental avanguard film, “Siberia”, with New York video artist Richard Sylvarnes for the Autumn-Winter collection 2004 which showed in February 2004 during the New York Fashion Week.
Nikaido is a Japanese actress. In 1996 she was reportedly engaged to US director Hal Hartley who had recently cast her in his movie Flirt. Now they are married and still collaborating on projects involving both film and the stage. They also did opera and showed at the Salzburg Festival.
