Synyster Gates (born Brian Elwin Haner, Jr. on July 7, 1981), also known as Syn, is an American musician and is the lead guitarist for Avenged Sevenfold. He was also a member of the “Goblin Metal” side-project Pinkly Smooth. He is currently dating Michelle Dibenedetto, the twin sister of Valary Dibenedetto, M. Shadows’ fiance.
