Akon launched his newest fragrance: Konvict and word has it that the packaging created controversial buzz in the online media.  We’ll leave the judgement to you:

Konvict Homme, for men, is really masculine and has touches of bergamot, lemon, sandalwood and cedar. While Konvict Femme, for women, offers a fresher and fruitier scent with fresh lemon, mandarin, vanila and almond musk.  Each fragrance pack contains two bottles connected by a chain, forming a set of handcuffs, each measured at 1.7 oz eau de parfum, totaling in 3.8 oz of Konvict freshness.  You can start smelling Konvict-good by shelling out $41.95, good enough a price for spicing up your daily life.

Wow, is that the next (quoting Diddy) black James Bond we’re going to see?  Maybe not, but Akon looks sooo sharp in that sleek suit.  We’re lovin’ his clean cut look.  But he’s not dressed for nothing.  Akon partnered up with Maranello, a Swiss watch company which is inspired by the Ferarri Maranello, and just launched the Maranello V8 watch collection.

Singer, producer and songwriter Akon wants all the money with the release of two clothing lines. One Konvict apparel that will cater to the more street conscious urban consumer with track jackets, t-shirts and signature Konvict graphic garments and will also have the Lady Konvict line. While the other apparel line Aliaune will be a more sophisticated premium brand offering blazer dress shirts with high quality denim from richly woven cottons and fabric from his home continent of Senegal.
