It’s no secret that nude hues are everywhere this spring, including on our favorite fashionable stars. They’ve been donning different versions of the color everywhere from their lips to their gorgeous gowns. Lace is also a big warm weather trend – and we’ve seen edgy black lace decorate everything from fingernails to handbags. What we love most about Carrie’s look here is that she seamlessly (and fashionably) combines both trends to create a totally fresh look. The hand-embroidered black lace really pops against the nude satin of Carrie’s Zuhair Murad creation – and we are totally smitten with this classy color palate.

Carrie’s dress also prominently features a giant flower detail at the waistline, which may have become too much, had she over-accessorized. But we think Carrie struck the perfect balance – opting only for simple black Brian Atwood peep toe shoes and a sleek black Swarovski evening bag. We totally dig everything about this look – and the good news is that a similar style won’t break the bank for us bargain fashionistas. Look for solid colored, flesh-toned party dresses, and add your own affordable black details. We think a bold black ribbon belt, or inexpensive black enamel jewelry would finish a similar look perfectly. What do you think of Carrie’s ensemble?

For starters, we are swooning over the creamy color of Carrie’s frock. At first glimpse, it looks like a basic fleshy nude – which would be completely on-trend for Spring 2011. But it’s actually a whisper-blush pink, which is totally flattering on Carrie’s peaches and cream complexion. Few ladies in Hollywood could pull off such a pale hue with ease, but Carrie looks stunning in the shade.

It’s no secret that nude tones are always a big spring trend, but the trick to making them work is a little more complicated. It’s important to find a flattering neutral on your skin tone, or you’ll risk looking tired and washed out. Look for colors a few shades darker or lighter than your own skin, laced with the palest pink or lavender for a modern twist, like Carrie’s pink Max Azria creation.

Besides the trendy color, we also love the figure flattering cut and bandage-style seaming throughout the gown’s bodice. Carrie even styled her look to perfection, opting for a bare neck over a big piece of statement jewelry. The pretty beaded embellishment at the neckline, a simple pair of gold earrings and an elegant gold bracelet were all the accessories she needed for the big night.

From the fab bunch, we have Carrie Underwood leading the way with her golden sparkly dress.

While we love Jennifer Hudson’s red carpet dress, we also had our eyes set on her stagewear.  She looked amazing!

British star, Estelle, rocked a sparkly number which complemented Kanye’s… err… blazer.  Okay, now we have a question: could it be Estelle has serious insecurity issues about her hips?  She keeps on wearing dresses with fake hips!  Or was it Kanye’s idea?  We’ll never know.  Note to Yeezy: while we love your boldness, glittery stuff is really girls’ domain.

Fantasia looked fantastic with her embellished dress.  We’re just not really feelin’ the shoes.

We absolutely love Gwyneth Paltrow’s metallic strapless mini dress!  And for the dress’ sake, we’ll forget her ‘British’ word-drop: “…the utterly brilliant Radiohead”.  Why don’t we just leave the British thing to Madonna for now.

To tell you the truth, we’re kinda down and out with celebrities wearing those Herve Leger bandage dress.  But Tiny rocked the metallic version this time.  She grew a sense of style!  We’re not really with TI this time, ‘coz we prefer his undone tuxedo look when he performed with the “Rap Pack” onstage.

Paula Abdul tried to get on board the metallic glam trend, but she boarded the fashion trainwreck instead.  Nice try, Paula.

And so did Katy Perry, who puts rhinestones on her ‘fruity’ getup.  Thank God it’s just for show.  She actually looked much better on the red carpet.
