Skincare and hair care company Carol’s Daughter is no stranger to celebrity endorsements. Past spokeswomen for the company have included Grammy award winner, R&B star Mary J. Blige. Jada Pinkett Smith has also offered her face to Carol’s Daughter campaigns. The newest face of Carol’s Daughter is actually a trio of faces. This triptych of beauty includes Victoria’s Secret Angel Selita Ebanks, actress and recording artist Solange Knowles, and singer Cassie.
These women were chosen not only for their beauty, but for their racial diversity. Every member of this group is a descendant of at least two racial groups. Cassie, for example, is Filipino and African-American. Solange, also of African-American descent and has has French Creole ancestry as well. Ms. Ebanks is the most racially diverse member of the group. Her family tree includes African, Indian, Irish, and Jamaican ancestors. Despite their great diversity, these women all have one thing in common: they are absolutely gorgeous.

Ms. Ebanks recently spoke to Women’s Wear Daily about this new group of faces for Carol’s Daughter. “Carol’s Daughter doesn’t have just one direct demographic,” explained Ms. Ebanks. She went on to discuss the diversity of this group of spokeswomen as well as the diversity of her own family. “Solange’s hair is a different texture than mine; so is Cassie’s. Our skin and body types are different. Today, people are blended, and I think the three of us are a prime example. Women in my family range from vanilla to the deepest chocolate.”
The first product that Cassie, Solange, and Selita will promote is, in fact, a hair product. The product is the Monai Repairing Collection, which is a system for hair care that includes three steps. The Monai Repairing Collection will debut on the Carol’s Daughter website on May 1st. It will be available in Sephora stores on the same date.
