Looks like Agent Provocateur isn’t the only fashion house that has eyes for Penelope Cruz. The actress has been appointed by Spanish leather goods brand Loewe. Cruz has signed a lucrative three-year deal with Loewe, and from the looks of it, the brand’s bigshots are in love with not only her looks but also her work.

Stuart Vevers, Loewe’s creative director stated:

“Penelope is Spain’s most famous woman. For us to collaborate feels right and natural. I always start with the woman and a character. I find film very useful as a fictional character can be liberating creatively. Pedro Almodóvar’s work is a constant reference and Penelope’s characters in his films have often been an inspiration — the strength and complexity they have. I am a big fan of Penélope’s work.”

The first advertising campaign featuring Cruz will be shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot and will be launched in spring 2013. Looking at Penelope and her creativity, we hope she’ll try to design a line for Loewe. Now THAT would propel her designer career into another level!

Another day, another celebrity capsule collection. This time, it’s Sole Society, collaborating with ballroom dancer/actress/singer Julianne Hough!

Hough will not just design gorgeous shoes for the collection, she will also be participating in Sole Society’s online fashion insider program, sharing her personal style tips and picks some of her favorite Sole Society shoes!

Brett Markinson, CEO of Sole Society stated:

She is a consummate professional and her values as well as her sense of style and fashion are very much in line with our own and what we stand for as a brand. She is very excited about expressing herself creatively and we are excited about capturing her authenticity and helping channel it into this very special shoe line.

Julianne shares the same excitement about her involvement in the collaboration:

Sole Society is really supportive and encouraging of my creative opinion so I am able to have a lot of input regarding the shoe styles and designs for my collection. Everything is very fashion-forward and lady-like and I think Sole Society customers will really like what we present.

The line will also be affordable and retailed starting at $49.95 per pair. However, you’ll have to wait until February 2013 to get them at solesociety.com and Nordstrom stores.

Following the footsteps of the celebrities who launched their nail color lines this season, including Fergie and Snooki, actress Salma Hayek extends her Nuance cosmetic line and included nail polish in it. However, unlike the other stars, Hayek took her daughter, Valentina, as her inspiration. She explained that Valentina loves nail colors, and this inspired her to create a range of nail polish that is safe for children.

She’s obsessed with nails and nail colors. I wanted to get [the formula] so it wasn’t very toxic and so you can put it on your children.

On the expansion, Hayek didn’t hesitate to go big. The nail colors will be available in 30 shades and retailed for $5.99 each. You can expect to see Nuance nail color at CVS and CVS.com by November 19 and virtually everywhere in the first quarter of 2013, as it’s going to be sold in 1900 retailers. Why not? As Salma said, it’s for everyone.

It’s a lot of hip new colors, some are young and happy and there are also really sophisticated classic ones. It’s a little bit for everyone.

Chris Brown launched his collaborative clothing line for his new brand Black Pyramid, and showcased the street-savvy pieces as his follow-up foray into the fashion world after creating the Mechanical Dummy brand a while ago. The singer also partnered up with Pink + Dolphin store and produced t-shirts, hats, and hip-hop style hoodies plus other accessories aimed for the young market. The singer stated:

“It’s about friendship. It’s just like fashion and hanging out. Being able to collab with them, with my brand…It’s just getting off heat for what’s coming and what the future holds.”

Chris Brown combines the logos of both companies, creating an image of an upside-down black pyramid with pink dolphins rising from the top. This collaborative line includes accessories and casual tops adorned with stenciled iconography with fun drawings against monotone backgrounds (black and gray). Pink + Dolphin CEO, Neima Khaila, said:

“The brand is based on exclusivity – being unique, being different – that’s the whole background. Pink dolphins are real animals – they’re an endangered species – that’s what we modeled the whole brand after.”

Jersey Shore might be over, but Nicole Polizzi a.k.a. Snooki is far from over in expanding her wings in the fashion business. Snooki launched her new fragrance and nail polish line on HSN.com, and they’re available to purchase right now!

We’re not really sure why stars are launching nail polishes at almost the same time, starting from Kate Middleton, Fergie, and Mariah Carey, but hey… the more the merrier, right? Here is the three-piece nail polish set called “All That Glitters” from Snooki:

The glitzy nail polish set features names like “I’m A Gold Mind”, “Fireball” and “Party’s Here” and retailed at an affordable $19.90.

And here’s the fragrance titled “Snooki Couture” ($45), which is probably the only time we’ll see the word ‘Snooki’ and ‘Couture’ in the same sentence. We kid, we kid. The perfume is a follow-up of the 2011 release of “Snooki”, which was initially inspired by a whiff of pickles.
