Celebrities can try and design their own fashion line. Some successful in the market, some flops. But getting a nod, a recognition from the fashion community is a hard thing, and Victoria Beckham proved to the world that she is serious in the fashion biz. Her brand as been selected as one of four nominations of the Designer Brand award at the 2010 British Fashion Awards, facing some tight competitions such as Burberry, Mulberry and Pringle.

The two year-old brand has been showing its consistency in the business and has been worn by Hollywood A-lister such as Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Hudson, Mary J. Blige, Blake Lively, Gwyneth Paltrow, Cameron Diaz, Heidi Klum, Leighton Meester and many more. Although many Americans love the brand, Victoria made sure every single fashion item is produced in England.

We’re proud of Mrs. Beckham and we do hope she wins in this prestigious award. The winners and the two people chosen for BFC Outstanding Achievement in Fashion and the British Style ‘crown’ will be announced at the British Fashion Awards gala evening, on Tuesday, December 7th, 2010.

One more gentleman to jump onto the fashion line bandwagon: R&B crooner, Ne Yo, announced that he will come up with a hat line and fragrance. Ne-Yo told MTV:

“I’ve been talking to some people about doing a hat line, in that the hat is what I’m most known for. Weird, right? That the hat is more popular than the music? And possibly a fragrance, but I don’t know what I smell like so I don’t know if I want people to smell like me. I mean, I know I don’t stink. But everything is in conversation right now.”

Ne-Yo is still on his gentleman steez -which people thought won’t last for long. But in the spirit of turning g’s to gents, Ne-Yo continues his mission to bring gentleman-style not only to men’s look… but the overall personality.

“I feel like people missed the point of the Year of The Gentlemen thing. People think, ‘OK, if I put a suit on, I’m a gentleman, right?’ No! You could put a ribbon on a pig, but it’s still a pig, it just has a ribbon on it now. It’s not all about looking good, because you can look good and still be a jerk.”

The suave singer is working on his upcoming album “Libra Scale” which will drop in October, the month of the Librans. We’ll be waiting for his hat, because we gotta give it to him… when it comes to rockin’ fedoras, Ne-Yo is your guy. Now, we know Rihanna hasn’t come out with her own legging line or clothing line, as a matter of fact, but we do know what brand she was wearing. Rihanna sported the J Brand Wax Stretch Skinny Leggings, which has a thick military-look to it. The camouflage print might do wonders in the jungle, but in hip places it sure brought her OFF the boring background right into the spotlight. What makes the leggings special is, if you notice the waxy look of the material… it actually feels normal when touched. Sure hope Riri would consider doing her own line!

Good news come from the Kardashians again, people. Apparently Khloe Kardashian is the next from the Kardashian clan who will come up with her own fragrance. But she’s sharing the sweet smell of success with her husband, NBA champion, Lamar Odom. The couple announced that they were working on a unisex fragrance.

Although it might be named “Unbreakable”, Lamar and Chloe haven’t decided on anything, except for who they’re doing the gig with. They are partnering with perfume maker Givaudan who happened to make Kim Kardashian’s fragrance.

In a recent interview, Kim Kardashian revealed that she and Chloe used to try making their own perfume to no avail.

“When I was little, my sister Kourtney and I tried to make our own perfume by picking flowers and putting them in the blender, because that’s how we thought fragrances were made. It smelled totally gross!”

But judging by the success of Kim Kardashian’s perfume recently, we’re sure the blender incident won’t happen again. LOL!

Well, the Beliebers shouldn’t worry, because Kim and the teenage heartthrob were only doing a photo shoot for ELLE Magazine’s fashion spread, with the concept of the box office classic: “The Graduate”.  Kim channeled her inner Mrs. Robinson, and may we say she looked fantastic in the over-the-top styling, and Justin Bieber looked… well, adolescent.

The epitome of weirdness and all things good, also pop sensation, Lady Gaga, is rumored to design some kick-ass glasses! Oh finally a touch of Gaga-ness in the real fashion world. Remember her stint where she rocked a sport sunglasses made from rows of lit cigarettes in the “Telephone” clip? Well, not that we think it’s going to be that crazy, but this did cross our minds when we heard that Lady Gaga is linking arms with London-based sunglasses brand, Linda Farrow.

The 40 year-old label has launched a sunglasses line designed by singer Róisín Murphy recently, and adding Gaga to the lineup of celeb-designed sunglasses would be a fresh move for the brand. Linda Farrow has collaborated with the likes of Alexander Wang, Matthew Williamson and Dries Van Noten. We’ll be waiting for the confirmation on this, but tell us… will you buy Lady Gaga’s Sunglasses?

Remember Mary J. Blige’s collaboration with premium label Gucci which released a watch for her foundation: FFAWN last year?  The songstress is doing more good deeds and now she’s collaborating with fashion designer, Catherine Malandrino.  They released stylish t-shirts last winter for FFAWN (Foundation For the Achievement of Women Now) and now the duo stepped it up onto the next level: they’re doing a charity fashion show!

Malandrino said to WWD that it’s about women and helping women, so the show isn’t limited for the fashion circle. However, since the ticket will help cover college tuition for 30 graduates of the Women’s Academy of Excellence, you can expect it to be rather steep. Secure yourself a seat for the June 15th event for $1000 per-seat, and get the ultimate chance to see what Blige and Malandrino have to offer since their collabo t-shirts were sold out at Bloomingdale’s.  The event will be held at the New York Museum Of Modern Art.

Your donations will also support a multi-year effort led by world-class scientists to develop a blood test for earlier detection of breast cancer when survival rates are the highes and fund the Cancer Support Community.

Huffman stated:

Reports say:

He was trapped under the heavy rubble’s with no food to eat or water to drink for nearly four days until he was found by rescuers. After going under medical treatment doctors found out that he had no life threatening injuries. Sadly, Marvin lost a few of his close family members that died from the heavy impacts. Weeks after recovery, Marvin Bienaime flew back to the states (Miami, Florida) where he re-united with his other family members.

On his way back to the States, Marvin met Diddy who interviewed him about the earthquake and from there on, Marvin became a Sean John model.  Talk about a twist of fate!
