English model Agyness Dean is the bold face of a new fragrance by designer Jean Paul Gaultier named “Ma Dame” set to launch later August 16, 2008 exclusively in three major cities. Galeries Lafayette, Paris, and Sephora’s Champs-Elysées store, Harrods, London and Lane Crawford, Hong Kong, followed by a global roll-out later this year in September.
The commercial starts with Agyness Dean walking towards the camera in natural model form, but out of her natural appearance with long hair and a funky business suit. She then proceeds to cut her hair and rips the sleeves from the under shirt and cut her pants down to shorts and revealing the real more edgier Agyness Dean that she is known for. Agyness was recently dropped as the face of Fall 2008 Burberry campaigns. Great way to bounce back and silence all the critics.
Jean Paul Gaultier hasn’t released a women’s fragrance since the launch of Fragile in 1999 he said the following about why he chose Agyness Dean:
“She was ballerina and biker, so feminine and masculine,” said Gaultier. “It was a mix of my sensibility, and I knew she was completely the one to represent it. “It’s my type of woman—at the same time fragile and strong, like a tomboy that is a little androgynous in attitude so, you know, she can cut her hair if she wants.”

Avril Lavigne is set to launch her own fragrance in the second semester of 2009. She confirmed with WWD that she has signed a deal with Proctor & Gamble Prestige Product’s division to create a perfume scent targeting her teen fan base.
Avril said the following about her collaboration with Proctor & Gamble:
“I am pleased to be working with Procter & Gamble on releasing my first fragrance. Creating this fragrance is a fun process and I am looking forward to sharing it with everyone.”
P&G Global Marketing Director Heike Hindenlang told press:
“Young teenage girls really aspire to Avril and love everything about her. We think we can reach out to new consumers with her scents. It’s about finding which brands appeal to young consumers and [which] fashion and celebrities that resonant with them.”
How many are waiting on the new Avril scent?

Lindsay hasn’t took the plunge just yet, but has her mind on launching a fragrance line in the near future. It is in the works and she has recently been experimenting with various scents to get that perfect aroma.
In an interview with The Britain’s Sunday Times Magazine she said the following:
The fragrance is still in its early stages. She confesses that she is sorta (sick) and been experimenting with various scents and finally came up with “this oil that I made up myself”.

1,2,3-thousand celebrity fragrances are available so its only right that the Queen gets her crack at the fragrance business.
Queen Latifah and Parlux Fragrance are in the development stages of creating her own perfume to be released in Fall 2009. It will be the first product the Queen is behind other than her various beauty endorsements.
Queen had the following to say about the dollar signs she is soon to see from her fragrance deal:
“For me, beauty really does start on the inside,” Queen Latifah said in a news release. “It’s like a state of mind — a state of love, if you will. So, I see fragrance as just a natural expression of this state of love: Scent expresses a woman’s confidence and sensuality. It’s how she embraces her body, her mind and her strength.”
Actor Josh Hartnett is said to be the new face of Armani’s new fragrance Diamonds pour Homme according to MiMifroufrou.
Diamonds pour Homme will be released this Summer according to a US and September 2008 is the word from a French source. It is said to be the men’s version of Emporio Armani Diamonds, which is endorsed by none other then Beyonce.
Josh actually had some influence in the creation of this fragrance unlike most who are just mere endorsers of a brand, because Giorgio said he’s been admiring him for sometime and had the following to say about the collaboration:
“Both on and off screen he has a charm and charisma that is magnetic. His individuality, allure and nonchalant way of being are all qualities which inspired me in the creation of this new fragrance.”
