Guess the ‘desperate housewife’ isn’t so desperate anymore, as Eva Longoria Parker joins her fellow Hollywood A-listers in launching a signature fragrance called Eva by Eva Longoria.  The petite and beautiful actress teamed up with Falic Fashion Group, and was involved in the creation.

Eva Longoria comments:

“I have always been somewhat allergic to all perfumes and really wanted to create something that every woman could wear.  So I decided to create my own fragrance that is light, fresh and unique. I think the scent of a woman is extremely sexy and this scent will prove that.”

To give you a clue on what’s coming your way, get this: top notes of this scent are citrus, neroli, bergamot tea and aldehydes. The heart consists of  sheer jasmine, muguet,violet and freesia.  And the drydowns are skin musk, amber and sandalwood. To sum up, it’s gonna be really feminine.

The fragrance will come in a 1.7-oz. version for $45 and a 3.4-oz. version for $58 and will be launched in April 2010 in the US, and will continue its debut in various countries around the world.  Talk about starting big!

Would you wear Eva by Eva Longoria?

Holding 10 nomination in the upcoming Grammy Awards apparently is not enough for Mrs. Carter.  After much speculation and gossips, Beyoncé  finally reveals what her first signature fragrance would be like.  The fragrance called “Heat” will officially be launched in February 2010, but Bey has some things to say about it, especially about the name that exudes hotness.

“A lot of my performances have had fire involved, so we thought ‘Heat.’ Also, red is one of my favorite colors, as is gold.  So then we thought of making the bottle look like it’s on fire. I love antique bottles — my mother had a collection of them when I was growing up. I wanted something with an antique yet modern feeling. Even with my wardrobe, I always try to find things that have a little bit of something vintage, yet still timeless and classic. The bottle, I felt, was a great mixture of the two.”

The Grammy Award-winning pop singer is also excited about the process of Heat’s birth:

“Everything, from the bottle design to the name and the ideas for the commercials — that’s me. When I commit to something, I do it 100 percent, and I’ve never had [creative control over a fragrance] until this project. I learned a lot of great things from the past — but I always asked myself, ‘If I could have my own scent, what would it be?’ I wasn’t worried about deadlines. It could have taken me three, four, however many years — this was my first fragrance, and I wanted to make sure that it was something I would love forever.”

Mrs. Carter spilled out that Heat will consist of a mixture of red vanilla orchid, magnolia, neroli and blush peach as top notes; with the heart of honeysuckle nectar, almond macaroon and crème de musk, and a drydown of giant sequoia milkwood, tonka bean and amber.  The fragrance lineup will consist of eaux de parfum in three sizes, 1 oz. for $39; 1.7 oz. for $49, and 3.4 oz. for $59 — as well as a 6.8-oz. Gold Sparkling Body Lotion for $24.

If you’re not gonna go to the stores to get P. Diddy’s fragrance, well, P. Diddy’s gonna come to your houses. No, he’s not turning into a door-to-door salesman. Diddy will make his debut on the HSN network on Nov. 30 at 11 pm to 1 am, selling his I Am King and Unforgivable fragrances.

We heard that HSN has exclusively built up a set for Diddy for his upcoming HSN debut. However, he won’t do just like any other ’selling pitch”, but he will be interviewed on camera. Well we don’t really care, though, as long as his fragrances are there with HSN’s signature bargains. Afterall, we want to smell great this Thanksgiving, don’t we? Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas is it kicking it hard in the beauty business, this year she’s been tapped to do her own fragrance with Avon, joining other celebrities who have been collaborated with the beauty brand such as Reese Witherspoon; Patrick Dempsey and his wife, makeup artist Jillian Dempsey; Courteney Cox; Derek Jeter; Jennifer Hudson, and Salma Hayek. Fergie is delighted about the deal:

“I love the roster of women Avon has supported. Each one is completely different, but they are all wonderful, strong women who have a purpose. It was very important to me to bring what I have to the table. I’m a bit more rock ’n’ roll than some of the other artists, and Avon has really allowed my personality to come through.”

Word is the name and the details of the fragrance are still being kept under wraps, but Fergie let her fans into some hints:

“The vibe for the scent is for the woman who wears it to feel confident and not be afraid to be noticed.”

Sounds empowering.

This isn’t Fergie’s first collaboration with a beauty product. Last year she partnered with MAC Cosmetics’ Viva Glam campaign to raise money and awareness for the MAC AIDS fund.

The Avon x Fergie fragrance is scheduled to drop in Fall 2010. We’ll keep our eyes and ears open!

Kim Kardashian might not be married (yet) like her sister, Khloe, but she’s blessed with lucrative deals such as her D-A-S-H boutique and her ShoeDazzle business. She’s also signed a deal with 50 Cent’s Lighthouse Beauty company recently, and is now gearing up to launch her first signature scent. WWD reported that Kim is super excited about the project and shared her fascination of fragrances ever since she was small:

“When I was little, my sister Kourtney and I tried to make our own perfume by picking flowers and putting them in the blender, because that’s how we thought fragrances were made. Our parents thought we were crazy — and it smelled totally gross!”

Kim is working with Claude Dir, a perfume expert from Givaudan and she’s been involved rather deeply in the project.

“I wanted something rich and creamy and sexy, but still youthful. I met with Claude and had an in-depth meeting about what I liked and didn’t like, and he and his team came up with seven samples based on that. I liked the base notes on one, the heart notes on another — we started mixing it up. I wanted to make sure I liked it in every single stage. It’s really cool to know that’s what is in this bottle is exactly how I want to smell.”

The beautiful bottle is designed by Scott Oshry and Sean Brosmith of Maesa, and Kim involved her fans’ opinions in determining which bottle design to use for her fragrance. She polled her 2.5 million followers on Twitter.

“I posted pictures of a hot-pink version and a pale-pink version and asked my fans to weigh in on which was better. The overwhelming favorite was the pale-pink cap — everyone said it looked more sophisticated. I really wanted to know what my fans preferred. They’ll be the ones buying it! We will continue to interact with fans this way on this project.”

The collection will consist of eaux de parfum stockkeeping units: 1 oz. which will retail for $32, 1.7 oz. for $45, 3.4 oz. for $65 and a 0.33-oz. rollerball for $16. Kim Kardashian’s signature scent fragrance will be available exclusively for the first 3 months after its February launch at Sephora and on other stores around Mother’s Day, 2010. Kim is also finishing up her second fragrance due to come out in 2011 and also in the talks of creating a cosmetics line.

It’s been quite a while since we last talked about Gwen Stefani’s Harajuku Lovers quintet fragrances, and today is the right time, because in fall there will be a limited edition change of clothes for the teeny tiny characters.

Gwen Stefani loves the dolls, of course, and here’s what she said when the first edition was launched.

“I think [the appeal is] twofold, I think people really connect with these adorable little dolls. I know every time I look at the dolls, I can’t help but smile. Second, the fragrances are really great — extremely fresh and very wearable.”

The limited edition Harajuku Lovers fragrances will feature the dolls all bundled up in winter clothes, in tune with the Snow Bunnies theme.

Gwen Stefani is most excited about this.

“We brainstormed lots of ideas, but Snow Bunnies just felt and looked right, since it was coming out during the winter season. I loved the idea of the girls going skiing, snowboarding, sledding and having hot chocolate. Every season we create new versions of the girls, so you’ll always see lots of changes over time. One of my favorite things about this collection is that the possibilities are endless. The Harajuku Girls can go anywhere and be and do anything. We are always developing new artwork and graphics. The brand has an underlying sense of fun and whimsy and a Pop Art sensibility that is always evolving. Harajuku Lovers is like a never-ending art project!”

Despite the new package, the scents of G, Love, Lil’ Angel, Music and Baby will remain the same. Carlos Timiraos, group vice president of global marketing for celebrity brands at Coty Prestige adds:

“The packaging was a big part of the line’s success — people were buying and collecting them all. Rather than introduce another five scents, we decided to play around with clothes — there is a lot of territory to be mined there.”

As if the perfumes, the clothing line and the shoes aren’t enough, turns out that Gwen Stefani is planning another Harajuku project. She said that she’s working on a new costume and sterling silver jewelry line for Harajuku Lovers, on her off days from touring with her band, No Doubt.The Special edition Snow Bunnies will be priced at $30 per 10-ml and will be available in September.

If you find the ad for Mariah Carey’s newest fragrance rather creepy, it might be the excessive photoshop work.  Aside from that, we’ve loved Mrs. Cannon’s prior fragrances: “M by Mariah Carey” and “Luscious Pink” as they are really great. Her third and newest fragrance, “Forever” is supposed to be as great, as WWD reported that Mariah collaborated with perfumer, Olivier Gillotin of Givaudan. The fragrance consists of neroli, lotus blossom and dewy green apple top; tuberose and gardenia as the heart and the drydowns are white musk and exotic wood. CelebrityClothingLine’s verdict: great for evenings.

Mariah Carey gushed about her newest fragrance:

“I am in a wonderful place right now, surrounded by all the things I love, and Forever captures this moment in time.”

Ron Rolleston, executive VP for global fragrance marketing at Elizabeth Arden also sees “Forever” fragrance as a manifestation of Mariah’s own true happiness:

“Mariah’s happily married, has a movie coming out in November, which already did well at Sundance, and she is releasing a new album in September. She’s got a lot of joy and optimism in her life right now, and we wanted to express that in a fragrance.”

The range includes eau de parfum in three sizes — 1 oz. for $42, 1.7 oz. for $55 and 3.3 oz. for $65. There’s also a 0.5-oz. parfum, $250, and a 6.8-oz. body lotion, $28. Major department stores will be carrying Mariah Carey’s “Forever” fragrance, including Macy’s, Dillard’s and Belk’s. Watch out for it as it comes out this September.

It’s not just Jay-Z, Kanye West and Rihanna, but WWD reports that heiress Paris Hilton also inked a deal with Parlux Fragrances Inc. and launched her newest and sixth scent titled “Siren”. Neil Katz, chairman and chief executive officer of Parlux said that Paris Hilton’s fragrance business remains strong despite the tough times in the fragrance biz.

“We don’t know how serious the economic downturn is. The recession, as it affects retail sales overall, is impairing our ability to predict whether or not the businesses will be maintained.”

Katz also praised Hilton’s business savvy.

“She’s head and shoulders above so many other celebrities because of her connection with consumers, but also her connection with the paparazzi. They appreciate that she takes the time to answer their questions, and pose for them. Paris understands the role they play in her business.”

The fragrance itself has top notes of juici mandarin, apricot nectar and frangipani. The heart is honeysuckle, coconut orchid and water lily. The drydowns are vanilla beans, sandalwood and creamy musk. Siren will be available in 1.7 oz. and 3.4 oz., priced at $45 and $55, respectively, in eau de parfum form. There will also be a body lotion in 6.7 oz. package for $28.

Finally a news that can at least make us smile.

Joining the celebrity perfume bandwagon, Reese Witherspoon, is scheduled to launch her first fragrance with Avon Products Inc. Witherspoon’s first fragrance will be titled “In Bloom by Reese Witherspoon”, and the 33-year-old is most excited about her new endeavor.

“It was a unique experience for me because I had no idea what goes into making perfumes.  I thought you just pick a fragrance and it’s easy. But there were all these different levels of creating a scent that were new to me, but really fun and exciting.”

In Bloom is scheduled to be launched in November 2009, and is the largest fragrance initiative this year for Avon, which apparently has been building collaborations with designers such as Emanuel Ungaro, Christian Lacroix, also celebs like Derek Jeter and Patrick Dempsey.  Reese Witherspoon’s star power with her Oscar for the movie “Walk the Line” and her most memorable box office movies such as “Legally Blonde” and “Sweet Home Alabama” is a huge factor that made Avon goes global.  Tracy Haffner, Vice President of Global Fragrance Marketing and Strategic Alliances of Avon agrees:

“It’s really our first global women’s celebrity fragrance.  Our alliance strategy is meant to be diverse.  We will never be only celebrities or only designers.”

We’ve always known that Reese Witherspoon will jump into the fragrance business someday.  And it’s a delight to wait for her fragrance!

We don’t really know what sort of wind has been blowing in the fashion world but look out, fashion lovers because you might smell something odd. First it was Amy Winehouse, now it’s Courtney Love. You know, the rocker chick, Kurt Cobain’s widow, the one that barely keeps her boobies to herself. Well, she’s had some glam Gwen Stefani-like moments, but for her to actually design a clothing line? Yes, Courtney Love is designing her own clothing line, as reported by her bud, Peaches Geldof through Twitter.

Peaches Tweeted that a couple of nights ago that she and Courtney are having a sleepover and having a ‘hotel-room fashion show’ of Courtney’s new designs. Rumor has it that the collection consists of cotton ribbed body suits, cashmere harem pants and stitching a ruby into every outfit. The line is confirmed although no launch date have been leaked to the press. But we’ll keep you updated!
