Nicky Hilton’s Costume Jewelry

Nicky Hilton 01 Nicky Hiltons Costume Jewelry

The subtler sister of the Hilton siblings, Nicky Hilton, is busy designing her own costume jewelry to be launched this Fall. Nicky’s design portfolio might not as thick as her sister, Paris’ party resume, but she indeed had made it to be a fashion insider. At the age of 17, Nicky Hilton started designing handbags for Japanese label, Samantha Thavasa. In 2004, she launched her first clothing line called Chic by Nicky Hilton, and now she’s continuing to move to untouched realms: jewelry.

Chad C. Haggar, CEO of Titan Brands, partnered up with Nicky Hilton and they delivered a high-quality jewelry line with reasonable prices. Nicky stated her fondness of jewelry:

“I’m a crazy jewelry collector. I’ve always known since I was a teenager that I wanted to do a line. Whenever I bought something, whether at a flea market in Paris or a bazaar in India, I’ve been collecting pieces.”

Nicky’s jewelry line consists of three collections: Art Deco -inspired by her mother and grandmother’s David Webb pieces, and Spike and Snakes, ranging from classic Deco to contemporary edgy. The wholesale price ranges from $35 up to $480. The collection will be available at Endless.com later this year.

British songstress, Estelle, is in love with anything American!  The singer collaborates with New York-based fashion designer, Rachel Roy,and launched a spring costume jewelry collection. Rachel Roy told People magazine:

“Working with Estelle was a true collaboration. I love Estelle’s sense of style because she takes risks, and I think that to be a trendsetter you have to take as many risks as safe turns.”

Estelle feels as excited about the collaboration:

“What I love about Rachel is that her look is unpredictable. One day she’ll be in a cocktail dress and the next, she’ll be in flats and a little jacket. No matter what she’s wearing, it always looks appropriate. Rachel has great style and I loved collaborating with her.”

The line consists of gold and amethyst glass stones, rocker-chic rings and feminine earrings, which are retailed from $30 to $195.

Let’s play a little mix and match, shall we?

Alicia Keys Launched “The Barber’s Daughters” Jewelry Line

Alicia Keys and Jewelry Designer Gisèle Theriault

Okay CelebrityClothingLine readers, we know you’re yearning for a new celebrity line and guess what, give a huge applause for Grammy Award-winning singer, Alicia Keys, who finally decided to launch her own jewelry line titled “The Barber’s Daughters”. Although the line will only be available to the public, Fall 2010, the collection was launched at a temporary shop at Collette Blanchard Gallery at 26 Clinton Street in Lower Manhattan.

Alicia Keys partnered up with jewelry designer Gisèle Theriault. Theriault sold her jewelry to Keys’ bandmates and when Keys saw what was being sold, she knew she wanted in.

“I fell in love with the individuality of the pieces, but more than that, the words that were written on them really resonated with the songwriter in me. I knew at that moment, for the first time, that through a whole other medium I would be able to spread inspiration and that’s what got me started.”

WWD reports that the collection is comprised of sterling silver and gemstone pieces, each inscribed with poetry and prayers of Masaru Emoto, the author of “The Hidden Messages in Water”.  You’ll LOVE the poetic touch and we’re not just playing with words here.

Jewelry design has always been something Keys wants to be involved in. She recently started AK Worldwide, a company that will handle her nonmusical endeavors. She stated:

“Jewelry is a great first step. I think accessories are exceptional, because it is a simple way for people to express their own style.”

Expressing your own style via The Barber’s Daughters will cost you between $85 up to $2,500. We think that’s kinda wide for a price range, but when you see what they’re like, maybe you’ll agree with us that the line deserves a chance. Check out the full collection at www.thebarbersdaughters.com, but here’s a sneak peek.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s New Jewelry Line

Brangelina Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolies New Jewelry Line

We were going to write ‘Brangelina’ on the title of this post but we know it’s so 2008 to use the mash-up.  But here’s a cooler fact about the couple.  Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie finally breaks into the high-fashion world by partnering up with jeweler, Asprey, to launch a capsule collection of gold jewelry and silver accessories called ‘The Protector’, inspired by Angelina’s favorite animal: the snake.

Silver Baby Spoon 525 Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolies New Jewelry Line

The collection starts at $525 for a baby spoon made of silver with a snake-shaped handle. Being the philanthropist they’re famous for, all net proceeds from sales of this product will go to Education Partnership for Children of Conflict, which raises awareness and funds to educate child victims of war, conflict and natural disasters.  Angelina Jolie stated:

“These are the children who most need a safe place to learn, a place to heal, a place to learn reconciliation, a place to build a better future and a place — to just be children. Yet the education for these children is often forgotten. Tens of millions of children and adolescents in conflict are not in school.”

Okay, it’s all about doing good, yada yada.  But back to the shape of the jewelry again, snakes are usually scary for women, but when worn with the right attitude, snake-shaped jewelry could be the most elegant thing ever to complete a woman’s look.  Besides, when Angelina was pregnant with their daughter Shiloh, she wore a snake-shaped ring as a symbol of protector for the Jolie-Pitt family.

The Protector collection consists of silver baby gifts such as the previously mentioned spoon, an eggcup, tooth box and picture frame.  Aside from these, there are also pendants, rings and earrings, decorated with micropavé diamonds.  Enough talking, just see for yourself and prepared to fall in love with the Asprey x Jolie-Pitt collaboration.
