Christina Aguilera at the Voice Finale with Protege Beverly McClellan
If you tuned in to NBC this summer to catch the network’s smash hit reality singing competition, The Voice, then you know that Christina Aguilera is smack in the middle of a major comeback. The blonde pop star and entertainer serves as a singing coach and team leader, alongside music industry heavy hitters Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Cee Lo Green on the new talent show, which has garnered record summer ratings for NBC. We’re thrilled the show’s doing well, and we’re proud to see Christina prove her harshest critics wrong following a string of box office flubs (Burlesque, anyone?) and public flops (who could forget Christina’s epic fall at the 2011 Grammy Awards?).
We spotted the Beautiful singer at her hit show’s finale party, which took place at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, California on Wednesday, June 29, and we’ve never seen her look more confident. She arrived at the event in a seriously fierce strapless dress by Herve Leger, and finished her look with amazing studded Christian Louboutin peep toe platforms. Of course, no X-tina look would be complete without the diva’s signature deep red lip color and plenty of blinding bling, and we think she looked stylish, proud, and quintessentially Christina. Keep reading for more details about her lust-worthy dress, and learn how to recreate your own Aguilera-inspired makeup look at home.
Even though her finalist and protégé, Beverly McClellan, didn’t take home top prize at the live finale show, Christina didn’t let that stop her from beaming with pride for her newly discovered music sensation. She performed alongside her student on stage, and looked radiant, with a wrist full of diamond-encrusted bangles and a statement cocktail ring on each hand.

And although we can’t help you finance any Christina-approved jewels, we do have a few secrets for creating a similar makeup look. Start with well-moisturized lips, and layer wine-colored lipstick on top of a matching lip pencil. For Christina’s satin finish, top your pout with an emollient balm, rather than a high-shine gloss, and complete your face with a strip of false lashes for star-inspired style.
