Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas is it kicking it hard in the beauty business, this year she’s been tapped to do her own fragrance with Avon, joining other celebrities who have been collaborated with the beauty brand such as Reese Witherspoon; Patrick Dempsey and his wife, makeup artist Jillian Dempsey; Courteney Cox; Derek Jeter; Jennifer Hudson, and Salma Hayek. Fergie is delighted about the deal:

“I love the roster of women Avon has supported. Each one is completely different, but they are all wonderful, strong women who have a purpose. It was very important to me to bring what I have to the table. I’m a bit more rock ’n’ roll than some of the other artists, and Avon has really allowed my personality to come through.”

Word is the name and the details of the fragrance are still being kept under wraps, but Fergie let her fans into some hints:

“The vibe for the scent is for the woman who wears it to feel confident and not be afraid to be noticed.”

Sounds empowering.

This isn’t Fergie’s first collaboration with a beauty product. Last year she partnered with MAC Cosmetics’ Viva Glam campaign to raise money and awareness for the MAC AIDS fund.

The Avon x Fergie fragrance is scheduled to drop in Fall 2010. We’ll keep our eyes and ears open!

Well apart from the stingy publicity picture when the celebrity designer showcased them in the Magic Trade Show back in August, we’ve yet to really see what they look like.  But we came across Fergie’s new HP computer ad and she said in the cute ad that she’s currently working on an Eco-Friendly shoe line.  Well well, is this another teaser?  You decide.

Fergilicious is developing her own footwear line due out Spring 2009 along with Brown Shoes Co. Fergie is among two other celebrities who have worked with Brown Shoes including Carlos Santana and Reba McEntire.

In a interview Fergie said the following statement about her fashion fetish:

“I have always loved fashion because it’s a great way to express your mood,” Fergie, 33, who’s engaged to actor Josh Duhamel, said. “And I’m definitely a shoe lover. The right pair of shoes can change the feel of an outfit and even change how a woman feels about herself. A woman can wear confidence on her feet with a high stiletto, or slip into weekend comfort with a soft ballet flat.”

Brown shoes will be marketing Fergie’s Footwear online and with in-store appearances. They will have available samples next month at the New York Footwear trade show held by the Fashion Footwear Association.

Fergie has come a long way from her humble beginnings with the Black Eyed Peas.
