Kanye Wants To Be An Intern!

kanye vuitton Kanye Wants To Be An Intern!

Kanye West is showing some lovin’ to his favorite brand: Louis Vuitton.  The self-described Louis Vuitton Don has been the talk of the fashion town, as he often sports metrosexual styles that are out of this world.  But Kanye wants to be more than just a style icon.  He, in fact, doesn’t want to be just another celebrity designer.

Ye wrote in his blog, “I want to and will be the real thing.  I will not just be a ‘celebrity designer’.”

We weren’t the only ones wowed by Ye’s determination.  Peeps at Vuitton are also applauding him for this.  The New York times interviewed avant-garde designer, Raf Simons, and he said “I was blown away from the planet when he told me.  I know he’s very serious about this -I dont take it as a joke- but how can I imagine him being my intern?  It’s a very extreme situation.”

We love Ye’s seriousness, but let’s play a little game, people.

If you were Louis Vuitton designers, would you hire Kanye West as your intern?

Today’s Inspiration: Kanye West

We’re not exactly inspired by his recent arrest.  And let the gossip blogs cover that.  We do fashion and we will stick to what we do best.  So the picture above is Kanye at the Prada Party in New York City.  And he was honoring the dudes at Prada by donning the signature red stripes on his grey sweater.  We initially thought he was bringing suspenders back in the fashion scene, and get the 50′s rat pack thing going on again.  And if it’s back, we LOVE it.  So here’s our cute find of the day, inspired by our dearest ‘Ye.

It’s the Cowgirl Overall Short from Rocawear, and it’s only $43.99!

Totally nothing compares to ‘Ye’s $20,000 bail! Maybe he can work on his designs for Louis Vuitton kicks while he’s in there.

Kanye West is always taking it a level up: he’s told the French press that he’s signed on to design a line of men’s shoes for Louis Vuitton.

Louis Vuitton has not yet confirmed the story. “I grew up with the Louis look, you know,” he told the Guardian paper at last week’s Vuitton runway show in Paris. “I just love the style.”

Calling himself the “Louis Vuitton Don”, Kanye has proven his devotion to the brand over the years. In June
2007 Kanye had his birthday party at a Louis Vuitton store.

In October 2007 he announced a partnership with artist Takashi Murakami to design a line of jewelry. Murakami designed a sold out line of limited edition handbags for Louis Vuitton, and also did the cover art for Kanye’s Graduation album.
Kanye’s even decorated his house with Louis Vuitton steamer trunks. The man is hardcore when it comes to lovin LV.

Kanye views himself as a trendsetter and is always pushing the fashion envelope when it comes to his own ensembles. He’s been working very retro early to mid 80′s looks with big plastic frame glasses and jeans jackets. All I know is if the Louis Vuitton Don brings back acid-wash jeans I’ll kill myself… and him.
