Reality star / supermodel / hot momma / fashion designer, Kimora Lee Simmons, shares a sneak peek of the newest season of her hit show on Style channel: Kimora Lee Simmons – Life in The Fab Lane.  Here’s the clip from the upcoming show:

This time around, the show features not only Kimora and her two daughters -Ming and Aoki Lee, but also Kimora’s new baby, Kenzo, and new husband, Djimon Honsou.  Looks like the new family adds new dynamics to the show!  Ming and Aoki are growing up really fast, and Djimon looks like a no fuss and outspoken guy, a perfect mix for Kimora!  This might seem strange, but we’re liking what we saw based on that montage.

“Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane” season 3 will premiere on Sunday, March 21, 2010 at 9pm et/pt on Style.

Kimora Lee Simmons gave birth to baby boy Kenzo Lee on May 30, 2009 and she happily Tweeted about the labor.   Kenzo Lee is Kimora’s first child with actor Djimon Hounsou.  From the previous marriage with hip hop impressario, Russell Simmons, Kimora’s blessed with two beautiful daughters, Ming Lee and Aoki Lee, who are also the faces of the junior line of her clothing line, Baby Phat.

A shocking news came over CelebrityClothingLine.com’s desk today and it says that Kimora Lee Simmons’ Baby Phat clothing line might have to go under. The Wall Street Journal reports that Baby Phat and Phat Farm’s holding company, Kellwood Co., could be forced to file for bankruptcy:

Kellwood Co., one of the largest apparel manufacturers in the U.S., could be forced to file for bankruptcy soon, after it failed to reach an agreement with its bondholders.

The St. Louis-based company, which employs roughly 2,000 people and owns such popular clothing brands as Phat Farm, Sag Harbor and Vince, was taken private in February 2008 by buyout firm Sun Capital Partners for $542 million.

The twin effects of a heavy debt load and a sharp drop in consumer spending have crushed the company’s financial results.

Kellwood has a $140 million bond issue …

The economy is shattering every business it can get. It’s a good thing Russell Simmons sold Phat Farm and Baby Phat to Kellwood five years ago for $142 million in cash plus performance incentives. However, Kimora Lee stays HBIC at Baby Phat and everyone is wondering how this bankruptcy thing is going to affect her and her clothing line.

While the casual knee-length pants are cool, the blindingly hot asymmetric silvery jumpsuit is the hottest item in the lineup.  However, we’re loving that cape with red linings.  And just as we thought bohemian look is over, Kimora brought back the flowy patterned dress into the fashionable side of the picture.  Cute!

In this lineup we’re feelin’ a strong high fashion air and we’re loving the attitude supported by the getups.  Fierce!

We’re also rooting for the menswear, that featured gorgeous manly attires.  Not sure about the fedora hat, and the maroon (velour is it?) pants, though.  But we love the rest!

Daaayyuumm!  We didn’t expect that to be something one would wear when taking care of patients.  The Ruby scrubs caught our eyes in an instant.  Loves it.

The Haute Lab Coat for hot hospital workers.  If we didn’t know any better, we would’ve just taken the coat and go to a coctail party sans innerwear and pull a Salma Hayek.

Fierce! This Leopard Mock Wrap Top is definitely injected with the right dose of fabulosity.  Only Kimora has this sass and anyone beside her… follower alert.

And the Signature Slim Pant, made for those very active days.  Not so much of a show off, the logo at the bottom is a modest but fab way to show that you don’t only care for your patients, you take good care of yourselves too!

My favorite item in the video is the skinny jeans with the seam down the front. The seam breaks up the legline and makes your legs look longer and thinner: that’s what I’m talking about!

I think this is going to be a hit for our girl Kimora. It’s more or less Baby Phat but aimed at a younger audience which means 1) cheaper more affordable and 2) less racy more age-appropriate for pre-teens.

Kimora’s budget line has hit the JCPenney stores. “Fabulosity” is for the budget-conscious fashionista. It is similar to Baby Phat in sensibility but priced lower and so does not compete. Did Kimora hit or miss the mark with this line?  JCPenney wants a piece of Target’s success in bringing high fashion designers to the masses and is remarketing its brand to younger, hipper consumers.

Kimora says “The Fabulosity girl is fun, fashionable and chic, but she doesn’t want to spend her last penny on something to wear,” Simmons said. “This collection is fashionable, but also affordable. The days of spending tons on clothes are gone — I mean, I still do it, but young girls can’t.”

To me I see a lot of Baby Phat’s signature look here, and if we can get it for cheaper that’s all good. But this line is aimed at a younger audience. Is this cool (or too hot) for preteens?

The New York Post reports that Kimora Lee Simmons, head of streetwear brand Baby Phat, will be partnering with Steve Madden to produce her line of belts, shoes and handbags for Kimora’s Fabulosity brand that will be exclusively available at JCPenneys. Kimora’s nor Steve Madden representatives have not commented on the pairing.

If you’re not familiar with the number 1 juniors line in the United States than you have probably been laying under a rock somewhere. Kimora Lee Simmons has one of the most successful celebrity clothing lines ever. It’s ironic considering the label started as a small offshoot of urban menswear brand Phat Farm. Baby Phat eventually overshadowed Phat Farm by Kimora’s clever marketing using herself and her luxe lifestyle as the brand’s image.

There is no written formula for starting a clothing line, but Baby Phat has done it and continues to do it well. The signature cat logo that adorns most of its garments that are available everywhere from your corner boutique to major department stores including Macy’s. The line consist of t-shirts, sweaters, Juicy Couture-like sweat suits, jeans, and denim.
