Lil Wayne Lil Wayne Pleaded Guilty To Gun Charges In NY

Lil Wayne pleaded guilty to his alleged involvement with a loaded 40-caliber pistol gun found in his tour bus back in 2007. The rapper faced 15 years in jail for each count of criminal weapons possession and criminal possession of a loaded weapon.

Weezy is rumored to be getting a deal which says: if he pleads guilty, he’ll be able to avoid a long term in jail over the gun and only end up with an 8-month lock-up. And if he continue to plead not guilty, he’ll be put away for a long time.

Weezy originally pleaded not guilty but with his guilty plea, as we mentioned before, he will only face a maximum of 1 year in jail.

This will not be the end as the rapper has another trial in March for possession of a narcotic drug, narcotic drugs for sale, possession of dangerous drugs, misconduct involving weapons and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia in Arizona back in January 2008.

Hope everything turns out right, Weezy.

Lil Wayne’s Clothing Lines: MIA?

Mid 2007, Lil Wayne boasted he would be bringing his own apparel lines to the streets. He’s mentioned Nelly as being a career influence, who has his own very successful line “Apple Bottoms”, a women’s streetwear line competing with Kimora Lee Simmons’ Baby Phat and Jay-Z’s recently sold Rocawear.

Lil Wayne clothing would consist of two brands:”Double U”, a womenswear line, and “Foreign Money”, an urban streetwear collection for men. They were expected to be an extension of the rapper’s rockstar / streetwear style.

Over 6 months later and we’re still waiting for the relaunch of these two brands. In the meantime, Lil Wayne was featured in Ed Hardy Clothing ads in early 2008, which appeals to the same segmentation of urban streetwear fans.

The Cash Money rapper is the hottest he’s ever been with his new album at the top of the charts. We guess we can forgive him for falling behind on his extracurricular activities like clothing design.

Rapper Lil Wayne Double W and Foreign Money Clothing Line

Foreign Money will be the mens clothing brand, most likely will be influenced by his street rock inspired dress style. Double W you will be the women’s line and most likely will have other designers aboard to design the line and with a substantial amount of financial backing I only hope he will put it to good. Considering most rappers who launch clothing lines Snoop Dogg, Master P, Eminem clothing companies never make it past the extreme buzz stage to really gain any traction or true customers.
