Ladies, your prayers have been answered: Nelly is now the underwear spokesmodel for Sean John.

The campaign was shot by Randee St. Nicholas and showcases Nelly in both interior and exterior shots at a modern home overlooking Los Angeles…The Sean John Underwear, Sleepwear and Loungewear collection includes the core silhouettes as well as signature styles in luxury fabrics and is available at Macy’s and better department and specialty stores nationwide.

Nelly said “I have been a big fan of Diddy and the Sean John clothing line for years. So, when they asked me to work with them, it was a real honor. I hope my fans will enjoy this campaign as much as I did shooting it.”

Nelly’s got his own very successful womenswear line called Apple Bottoms.

Calvin Klein had a recent marketing splash using soccer star David Beckham in his skivvies that went over VERY well.

BOOTS WITH THE FURRRR!

Nelly’s Apple Bottoms clothing line is doing gangbusters. Here’s a video straight off the runway for his fall 2008 collection, and some selected pieces below:

Now, can’t you just see Nelly lending a hand to help design this one? He calls it the “Pinstripe Balconette” bra.

“Denim Capri Jumper”. Liking this because it shows off your shoulders and slims the arms.

Apple Bottoms at Rip the Runway

Nelly brought his Apple Bottoms collection to BET’s 4th annual Rip the Runway show which aired Tuesday night. Nelly was also the host of the show, along with Lauren London. The Apple Bottoms models strutted down the runway to Flo Rida’s song Low which mentions the brand in the lyrics.

(“Apple Bottom jeans, boots with the fur…”)

Apple Bottoms was the last collection to do the runway and showcased its spring 2008 collection. During Flo Rida and T-Pain’s performance, Nelly jumped on the stage and sang along with them.

Applebottom’s 5th Anneversary

Nelly celebrated the 5th anniversary of his Apple Bottoms clothing line at TAO during the MAGIC trade show in Las Vegas. The party featured a cake shaped like a booty in some Apple Bottom jeans, which was hilarious.

The line has been very successful and I don’t see it falling off anytime soon.

Nelly Plans to Re-Launch Troop Clothing

Nelly has announced that he will be re-launching the 80’s hip-hop clothing company, Troop Clothing. Troop Clothing was one of the first clothing lines embraced by the hip-hop community. It was created in the Bronx, New York in 1986 and was made popular by LL Cool J. The line will consist of both footwear and apparel. Nelly is seen here wearing the line at the 2007 BET Hip Hop Awards.

It will be interesting to see how this pans out. Nelly has yet to have a successful clothing line for men. Let’s just hope it does better than Vokal.

Apple Bottoms jeans was the brainstorm of Nelly and his friend Nick Loftis (Co-founder of Greedy Genius) in 2003 they launched what has grown into the number 2 juniors line in America with the celebrity of rapper/signer Nelly and designs catered toward the more curvaceous women.

Nelly apple bottom has been worn by video models such as Melyssa Ford aka Jessica Rabbit to the everyday women with a little something extra and need that fit Apple Bottom provides for a better to premium price.
