Nicole Richie is an interesting person in the entertainment world. She is not only an actress; she is also a television personality and a singer. With her impressive writing skills, she has released a novel in 2005 entitled “The Truth About Diamonds” which was well-received by book lovers. More than that, she invaded the fashion world with her admirable fashion design skills. In 2010, she won the “Entrepreneur of the Year” recognition for her House of Harlow 1960 brand at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards. These days, Nicole obviously excelled in the field of fashion.

The multi-talented star looked stunning as she stepped out in West Hollywood yesterday. She was in town to promote her House of Harlow accessories line. To highlight the event, she donned a white sequined dress with red trimmings and shimmering heeled shoes. The socialite has shown her natural beauty and charm as she graced the House of Harlow pop-up shop at the Ron Robinson boutique inside the Fred Segal store.

The 30-year-old entrepreneur’s impressive style matched with the glamorous theme of the occasion. She sported her favorite smoky eye shadow makeup and finished it off with nude lipstick. She aptly accessorized with chunky bangles, a set of modish necklaces and on-trend hairstyle.

The pretty star seemed to enjoy the event as she was snapped beaming in front of friends and guests. According to Pop Sugar, the lovely fashionista cheerfully showed off her designs, which included oversize sunglasses, bold necklaces and sparkling cocktail rings.

Nicole also recently opens up on her fashion sense being a mother and fashion designer. She stated: “I’m still wearing five-inch heels. My fashion really hasn’t changed at all.”

We agree that Nicole Richie is fashion’s favorite and is serious about her glam business. She recently looked fabulously glowing in a new commercial for her jewelry line House of Harlow 1960, which was named after her daughter, Harlow Winter-Kate Richie Madden.

Considered by many as the epitome of laid-back California cool, the 29-year-old fashion designer ditched her typical hippie-chic style and flaunted old Hollywood glamour in the new ad, complete with sparkling jeweled headbands, rings, bracelets and necklaces.In the stills of her new commercial, the former Kids In America star daintily frolics with the camera and plays with rings and bracelets from her Fall 2011 collection. In one snapshot, the glam girl looked dazzling as she showed off a headband from her collection, and looked even more striking in the sepia-toned commercial with a vintage-inspired backdrop.Her sizzling look is astonishingly sultry – with pale lips, smoky eyes and straight blonde locks accentuating her pretty face.

The House of Harlow 1960 fall collection includes gleaming bracelets, trendy jeweled headbands, cocktail rings, and necklaces using gold-plated items, feathers and fabrics. She also has a handbag collection that is accessible at high-end retailers like Nordstrom, Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus. The mother-of-two enjoyed support from her celebrity friends like Madonna, Ashlee Simpson and Vanessa Minnillo who wear her pieces.

The wife of Good Charlotte lead vocalist Joel Madden, Nicole has emerged as a dazzling style icon and skilled fashion designer—a far cry from her The Simple Life days. In 2010, Nicole was dubbed Entrepreneur of the Year for her fashion line at Glamour’s Women of the Year Awards.

Earlier this year, she told The Talk that she loves being a mother and after the birth of her second child, Sparrow, she said “I couldn’t be happier […] The only thing you want is for your kids to be healthy and happy, and they are. I’m right where I belong.”

We’re longtime fans of Nicole Richie’s trendsetting style, and normally adore what she wears on the red carpet. As her hottie rocker hubby, Joel Madden plays to sold-out audiences across the UK with his platinum-selling band, Good Charlotte, Nicole’s had plenty of free time to amp up her mommy-chic style. And at the Bergdorf party, she didn’t disappoint. The petite and pretty star opted for a black and gray strapless mini dress by Roland Mouret, that featured fitted and flattering diagonal seams throughout the bodice. It’s not like the tight and toned Richie needs any help, but her figure looked fabulous in this frock!

A simple and flattering black dress was the perfect backdrop for Nicole’s accessory overload. She chose tons of bold pieces from her own accessory line, House of Harlow 1960 – aptly named after her beautiful daughter with Madden. Her matching “Gunmetal Triquetra” cuff and ring on her left hand looked perfect – and were a great contrast to the “Feather Row” cuffs she stacked on her right arm. She even designed her own shoes for the night – donning the House of Harlow “Nell” peep toes in a classic black leather.

We’ve speculated, whispered about, and hoped for a Richie-Madden union ever since their adorable daughter Harlow was born in January 2008. Since then, the proud parents have been photographed looking happier than ever, even having another baby, son Sparrow in September 2009. In the years since they’ve been together, Nicole Richie and rocker boyfriend Joel Madden have given fans plenty of marriage false alarms, but on Saturday, December 18, they finally took the plunge and got hitched. For fans of Joel’s platinum-selling band, Good Charlotte, this was huge news because their favorite lead singer was officially off the market. But for fans of Ms. Richie and her California girl, laid-back fashion sense, girls across the globe were waiting to see one thing: the dress!

And everyone’s favorite hippie chick certainly did not disappoint on her big day. In fact, Nicole looked fabulous in three separate looks at her wedding– which took place at dad Lionel’s Los Angeles estate. The blushing bride chose not one, not two – but three separate Marchesa gowns throughout the day and night. She walked down the aisle in a hugely voluminous ball gown – rumored to encompass more than 100 yards of tulle –then later changed into an equally bridal white, slim-fitting gown for the first part of her reception. Nicole glowed in pristine white, and looked every bit the perfect bride. But it was her rock star-inspired black Marchesa that has us fashionistas salivating.

Toward the end of the night, Nicole changed out of virginal white and into an ink-black, skintight Marchesa draped in chains and rhinestones. The back of the dress featured a spiderweb-like chain detail, most likely paying homage to both her father’s rock star roots and her now-husband’s wildly successful music career. The best news for those of us salivating over Nicole’s luxe third wedding day look is that, we don’t need to plan a wedding to steal her style! You can dress up any black frock inexpensively with tons of silver necklaces to mimic her look for your next night out!

The Good:

Kim Kardashian has yet to fail me as of yet with her fashion choices. Ms. Kardashian donned a red, one shoulder Georges Hobeika gown. Complete with elegant hair and make up that accentuated her eyes, but wasn’t over the top, Kim looked stunning and outshone most on the red carpet.

The Bad:

Now I was very conflicted with this category because I wasn’t sure which of the two ladies to put here, but I opted with Nicole Richie…and her hair and make up were the only things keeping her from “The Ugly” spot. A close up of her face left me very pleased; her hairstyle was up, slightly messy but simple in contrast with the busyness of her dress. Also, her choice to pick one feature on her face to play with (her eye make up is amazing!) and keep the rest simple, really upgraded her overall appearance. Nicole Richie is usually spot on when it comes to dressing up or down, but I think (at least on her anyways) this fall 2009 Marchesa gown is a bit MUCH. Perhaps it’s just the giant black ribbon that is awkwardly knotted at her shoulder and waist, but whatever it is there is one thing it is not; working for her!

The Ugly:

Christina, Christina, Christina. This look isn’t essentially bad, but upon further inspection, i.e. seeing a close up on her face, this get up was pushed into “The Ugly” category. The pop diva looks very voluptuous in the pink-toned Atelier Versace gown (which we are all for because she usually looks VERY skinny) but her signature platinum locks styled very wild and curly paired with her overly bronzed face make up and almost invisible eyebrows just were not doing anything for me…except make me frown. She just looks tired and over it.

Nicole Ritchie was at a Nordstrom’s in Santa Monica to present the Fall 2010 collection from her Winter Kate line. Dressed in a skirt from the line paired with booties and jewelry from her House of Harlow line, the celebrity fashion designer was all smalls as she posed with models and signed autographs for fans.

When we said Nicole Richie is getting serious with her business, we weren’t kidding. The socialite and tv personality is now expanding her fashion line, House of Harlow by adding its first bag line this coming Spring 2011, and eyewear collection.

There will be 18 bag designs and if you think that’s too few, word is it will be expanded into more than 30 styles in the Fall 2011 collection. Nicole Richie told WWD:

“There are boho styles with fringe, and we’re also doing sophisticated clutches. We used leathers, suede, patchwork and even feathers on one style.”

The bags will retail from $295 to $495. Aside from the bag collection, Nicole Richie is also pushing sunglasses to be within the House of Harlow 1960 lineup.

“Sunglasses are really important to me. I have over 500 pairs in my own collection. I think they’re really fun and you can create a different personality with sunglasses. They’re like little masks.”

House of Harlow 1960 features fashion-statements collection in the sunglasses line, including a cat-eye frame and others with chains attached to the temples. The retail prices will range from $110 to $195.

Handbags, novels, now sunglasses. Nicole Richie is one busy girl. But do we love the sunglasses? Yes we do.
