Lindsay portrayed a modern “Alice in Wonderland” who explores three metaphysical settings characterized by fluctuating geometrical neon-colored shapes in the ad.  The pink wonder eye-candy ad was written and directed by Marco Bragaglia.

We think LiLo deserves more lines than just mumbling “Glam, pink, heart… Fornarina!”.  Or were her lines cut in the editing room?  We know we miss LiLo acting.  We just didn’t realize how much!

Madonna has been tapped by celebrity designer – collaborator: Christian Audigier, to start her clothing line with Christian’s label: Ed Hardy.  The pop star have contributed her taste in fashion design for H&M and now she’s gonna try creating new ‘tattoo-inspired’ tee shirts for Ed Hardy’s signature ‘tattoo tees’.

For Christian Audigier, collaborating with celebrities isn’t a new thing.  The versatile designer have had celebrity partners in the past, ranging from Snoop Dogg to Michael Jackson.  We’re kinda curious what Madonna will bring to Audigier’s fashion empire of tatto-tees.  Will we see hate tatoos aimed at ex-husband Guy Ritchie who recently referred to Madonna as “it”?  Or will there be expressions of love for daughter Lourdes, and sons Rocco and David Banda?  We’ll just have to wait.  Word is, Madge got a six-figure worth of contract waiting.  We say she should grab ‘em.

There’s no news on when the clothing line will drop, but we do have our favorite from Ed Hardy to keep ourselves occupied while waiting.

An influential glass artist from Pittsfield, Tom Patti, claims that the cologne’s packaging is a rip-off of to copyrighted tabletop glass sculptures he created in the early 1980s called “Compacted Gray With Clear and Ribs” and “Modulated Solar Airframe”. Patti said people have congratulating him on the success of his fragrance container and this led him to realize that Combs had replicated his work.

The artist wants to Diddy’s camp to stop using the design, also all profits traceable to the alleged copyright infringement.  Sounds like a lot of moolah. But the artist insists his work has been jacked.  The designers of the fragrance bottle, James Gager and Johan Linden said that the bottle reflected Diddy’s love of architecture. Patti said, “You don’t just come up with that kind of a thing.  It took me many years to develop it.”

Well we don’t know that much about glass art or architecture, so we won’t comment on the many years to develop the art or about how minimalistic an art piece can be. To us, the most interesting thing about this allegation is the use of the words ‘rip-off’ and ‘replicated’, because here’s what we think is more worthy of the words.

A couple of weeks ago, the perfume world got shaken and stirred when perfume giant Nina Ricci sued the folks who made Twilight perfume over the exact replication of the Nina by Nina Ricci perfume bottle.

Any thoughts on this, people?

Serena Williams earned a cool $14M in 2008, helped in part by her own clothing line Aneres. Established in 2004, the brand is designed by Serena herself, who has an art background. The tennis star is often seen out and about in her own collection, but we wonder why we don’t really see much Aneres these days? Maybe this article will tickle Serena’s creative bones.

#8. Sarah Jessica Parker – Bitten, Perfume Lines

Sarah Jessica Parker is sitting pretty on the $18M she made last year, even though her Bitten apparel collection bit the proverbial dust after huge retailer Steve and Barry’s was forced to fold in late 2008.

But with the recent greenlight on the Sex and The City movie sequel, perhaps SJP will have enough juice to launch a brand new clothing line… stay tuned.

#7. Sean Diddy Combs – Sean John

Well surprise surprise! We thought P. Diddy would be the richest celebrity designer alive, probably he did too.

But no, even with a cool $25 million earnings in 2008, P.Diddy got the designer pants beat off of him by 6 other competitors. We still give him props though. He’s demonstrated with his Sean John collection that he’s great at creating gentlemanly looks for G’s. He might not be as rich as some other people, but he’s definitely a KING of style in our book.

#6. Gwen Stefani – Harajuku Lovers, LAMB

The singer / celebrity designer / yummy mummy, Gwen Stefani, is sitting comfortably at number 6 with $27M in earnings. Her funky lifestyle brands, Harajuku Lovers and L.A.M.B., are both hits with CelebrityClothingLine.com readers and have contributed significantly to Ms. Stefani’s piggybank.

#5. Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen – Elizabeth & James, The Row

The tinseltown twins share the #5 spot with earnings of $35M, thanks to their Dual Star empire. Although their mugs and names are all over videos, books, to self-produced home movies, you won’t see this type of blatant star marketing on their more sophisticated Elizabeth & James clothing collection or their even more upscale collection: The Row.

These two celebrity designers are the brains behind every fashion item in both lines. It’s said that their involvement is very hands-on, and “real” designers have given the pair kudos over their sophisticated tastes and creativity.

#4. Giselle Bundchen – Ipanema

Although the highest-paid supermodel in the world was said to be working on a clothing line with Dolce and Gabbana, it turns out the rumor is false. Ms. Bundchen instead went green and designed a line of sandals called Ipanema, which contributed to her bottom line of $35 million last year.

#2. Jay-Z – Rocawear

Jay-Z aka Shawn Corey Carter, is now the second richest hip-hop celebrity designer with earnings of $82M. He sold Rocawear for $204M in 2007, but is still involved in overseeing marketing and plays frontman for the brand.

Apparently he hasn’t gotten over his creative thing for threads because he bought high-end streetwear brand Artful Dodger right after selling Rocawear.

#1. 50 Cent – G-Unit clothing

The richest man in hip-hop and now the richest celebrity designer: 50 Cent aka Curtis James Jackson III, who’s raked in $150M in 2008. Word.

He founded The G-Unit Clothing Company in 2003 with Marc Ecko, inspired by his own style and fellow members of G-Unit.As a do-gooder, 50 makes sure he shares his wealth. G-Unit sponsors The Book Bank Foundation and donated proceeds to the G-Unity Foundation.

Surprises missing from the list: Kimora Lee Simmons for Baby Phat, Justin Timberlake for William Rast, Nelly for Apple Bottoms and last but not least, Miley Cyrus for the Hannah Montana clothing line. Perhaps these contenders will shove their way to the top 10 for 2009… stay tuned!

We’re feelin’ the white one.  But somehow we think it looks more “Diddy” than “Barack”.  Either way, we think Mr. President would look superfly in a Sean John tux.

Diddy might be an hour late to the unveiling of his new perfume’s “I Am King” billboard unveiling, but he got the right timing in launching the anticipated new scent. “I’m only about five minutes late because I was running around and spraying people,” he said.  The gigantic billboard is up at Times Square, and looks like as if The King is watching over us.  Diddy made it clear that the name of the scent is not about him but rather a statement about all men and self-empowerment.  Diddy’s statement regarding this:

“It’s about empowering men to be responsible.  When I was growing up, my grandmother would always say to me, ‘You are what you say you are’.”

Diddy dedicated this scent to all the “kings and queens out there”, as he mentioned President-elect Barack Obama, Muhammad Ali and Oprah Winfrey.  His true Obama-fan persona said, “Obama has raised self-esteem in all communities.  If you work hard, you can be anybody you want to be, and if you have faith, nothing can stand in your way,” he said.  The fragrance is available HERE.
