Model, actress, and fashion designer Sienna Miller has created a bit of a pop fashion splash after being photographed wearing fingerless black and red striped gloves along with an outfit otherwise informed by black and grey. Based on the fact that the red in the gloves seems to perfectly match Miller’s lipstick and fingernail polish, it’s a pretty sure bet that the gloves were an intentional accessory rather than a last-minute addition to stave off the chill of winter.

Many women are scrambling to get their mitts on mittens as cute as Sienna Miller’s. The goods news is that the market is currently full of fashion-forward finger warmers. In addition to gloves and mittens that echo Miller’s striped look, there are also those that are made in bright colors, and those that are made with statement materials such as sequins. Fingerless gloves abound in patterns such as leopard. There are also mittens emblazoned with skulls to those who are stylistically devoted to irreverent or gothic looks.

When a celebrity comes up with a clothing line, what we usually see is -of course- his/her face on the promo campaign. But Sienna Miller shows that she’s more than just a face. Sienna and her sister, Savannah Miller decided to use real acting, to promote the autumn/winter collection of their clothing line “Twenty8Twelve”.

The chic fashion film is directed by Angelo Penetta and starring Sienna herself alongside Sara Blomqvist. The location is Hilles, at the home of Isabella and Detmar Blow in Gloucestershire, which also served as a place for the late Alexander McQueen to find inspirations. Sienna told Vogue:

“We wanted to capture our new season on film to get a real feel for the collection and Hilles provided the perfect backdrop for us,” Sienna told us. “The rich tapestries, velvets and eclectic style of the house completely reflect the elements of our autumn/winter collection. I loved filming in every room.”

On why they need to make a movie for their clothing line, Savannah Miller commented:

“We felt moving image could capture the essence of the message with more clarity. We feel it makes the story come alive and it was amazing to work with Angelo.”

Sienna Miller’s got every reason to smile ‘cos her designs rocked the runway.  We’ve featured some of the best celebrity designers’ work at the New York Fashion Week 2009, and now we headed for London and found the quirks in actress Sienna Miller’s Twenty8Twelve Fall ’09 Collection.  Here are our three favorites.

Sienna and Savannah Miller put their immaculate minimalist taste into a seemingly general designwork, but actually they are done in very particular cutting and detailing.  Compared to another celebrity designer sisters, Penelope and Monica Cruz, Sienna and Savannah’s designs are quite less intricate, but still shows a thoughtful concept. What we couldn’t help but wonder is how casual the whole line look, yet how easy they will seem to blend in formal ocassions.
