Avril Lavigne Launched Black Star Perfume

Ah Avril Lavigne.

We don’t really know how to react to this, ‘coz Avril Lavigne apparently hasn’t stopped her attempt to break into the fashion world. We haven’t even start to absorb her AbbeyDAWN cloting line yet and now here comes another fashion and beauty venture from the rocker. The Canadian rock starlet launched Black Star, a fresh and edgy perfume for young girls, which features notes of pink hibiscus, black plum and dark chocolate.

Avril said, “I wanted to make sure it was really me – me in a bottle,” referring to the black and pink packaging. Tweens everywhere will love the bottle because it has a studded ring around its neck, inspired by punk-style jewelry, and this can be removed and worn as a ring or a pendant. “The inspiration came from my love of studded belts and studded bracelets. [Black Star] means it’s cool to be a black star, to be unique and to be different.”

Avril Lavigne’s Black Star perfume was launched in London last Tuesday and it consists of 15, 30, 50 and 100 ml eaux de parfum, with prices ranging from $21.80 to $66.70. You can also get Black Star shower gels, body lotions and deodorant sprays.

Black Star will be launched in the U.S. this fall. Are you anxious?

MTV Airing Documentary on Diddy’s Sean John Clothing Line

MTV will be airing a documentary about Diddy’s clothing line, Sean John, entitled “If I Were King”.
