First Look of Madonna’s Clothing Line “Material Girl”
Just two days ago we unveiled the sketches to Madonna’s upcoming clothing line, Material Girl. Now we’re about to invite you to see the real thing. If this is how Madonna’s daughter, Lourdes Leon, designed the items… we just gotta say: she really has her mom’s blood. Check them out:
The Material Girl Collection will be sold exclusively at Macy’s. Madonna seems to be really excited about the idea:
“I like the idea that the line is being sold at Macy’s because Macy’s has the major accessibility factor across America.”
And teens across America will rejoice as the cute fashionable line will be retailed at only $12 up to $40, and that includes apparel, footwear, handbags, jewelry and hair accessories. Madonna commented:
“It’s not complicated. It’s dressing in layers. It’s not looking like you took too much time thinking about what you’re wearing.”
When you look at the collection closely, you’ll get a heavy whiff of Madonna’s early 80′s swagger, but somehow the line works with today’s trends, thanks to Lourdes’ touch as a representative of today’s youth. From where we’re sitting, Lola has been doing a great job.

Madonna has long ago turned most of the women in this country off with the way she continues to strip down and show her grandma looking body. For her daughter this kind of clothing might be ok, but for Madonna, no way. Looks like clothes for Jr High School kids which Madonna likes to wear and it is oh so unattractive.

I like it so far. I don't think I would wear some of it, but hell, it's worth a try! and i agree with "moo"…she CAN do whatever she wants. She's the queen! Lola has some pretty awesome designs though. Can't wait!

Is it me, or does the model look like Madonna in the early '80's? Oh, and by the way Shae, if Madonna has a grandma body, then I want to look like a grandma! She has an amazing body that most 20 somethings would kill to have….I'm in my late 30's and want to look like that when I grow up!

No Grandma I knew ever had a body like that. You are mistaken Shae. Madonna is not going to be wearing the clothes, nor I'm sure does she want to. They're designed for younger people. DUH. They're very cute.

If any of you are true Madonna fans you'll see that her new line is based on how she dressed in the early 80's, when she was younger. You never see her dressed that way now. Also I just saw her in concert a couple of years ago and she has an awesome muscular body I'd love to have.
