Ed Westwick Is The New Face of K-Swiss
Gossip Girl heartthrob, Ed Westwick was tapped to be the new face of K-Swiss back in November, and his ad campaign just came out. Westwick is endorsing the new “Classic” sneaker, which is the updated version of their iconic style that will be released this spring.
A few other “cool people” such as tennis players Tommy Haas, Mardy Fish and Anna Kournikova, have also been K-Swiss’ stars, and we’re kinda surprised at K-Swiss’ decision of taking a non-athlete person to join the tennis elites. But according to Jennifer Wiederman, K-Swiss VP of Marketing, Westwick was chosen because he has an ultra preppy style both on-screen and off-screen. And not just that, she lets us in on the fact that Ed Westwick actually love K-Swiss so much that right after the ad shoot, when told he could have those kicks he wore in the pictures, Ed went straight home without even taking them off. And he loves ‘em, all right, because he said:
“I really enjoyed being a part of this important moment for K-Swiss as they celebrate the return of an icon. I have a more traditional and classic style and tend to favor timeless pieces that I can wear again and again.”
