Mary J. Blige’s Gucci Charity Watch

Aside from teaching us to appreciate good songs, Mary J. Blige also teaches us to do good… in style. Fashion Week Daily reports that world class brand, Gucci, will be hosting a charity cocktail night during the New York’s Fashion Week with Mary J. Blige. The two huge names teamed up for the launch of the limited-edition black PVD twirl watch which will be sold to benefit Mary J’s foundation: The Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now, or FFAWN.

FFAWN’s mission is to inspire women from all walks of life to gain the confidence and skills they need to reach their individual potential. The foundation will accomplish its mission to empower and encourage women by shaping and supporting programs that foster education, career development, strong self-esteem, and personal growth. FFAWN will initially focus its efforts in Yonkers and surrounding communities in Westchester County and then expand its scope to include the Greater New York area and, eventually, the entire country.

Its vision is to become the go-to organization for women’s resources, providing a network of support that allows women from all backgrounds to become confident and informed in all aspects of their daily personal and professional lives.

Price tag for the black diamond-clad frame watch is $1,895, and a huge portion of the proceeds will be donated to Mary J’s charity. You can get the Gucci beauty starting September 16 at Gucci’s Fifth Avenue store.
