Rumer Willis is the closest thing we have to royalty on our side of the pond. She keeps very exclusive company as the daughter of two legendary A-listers, Demi Moore and Bruce Willis. Few celebrity offspring can claim not one, but two parents as Hollywood icons – and in recent years, Rumer has tried her hand at everything from acting to modeling to endorsement deals to capitalize on her fortunate familial situation. As fans, we’ve seen Demi’s daughter blossom from an awkward and gangly preteen who seemed to inherit both parents’ worst physical features, to a beautiful swan of a young lady with smart business sense who’s taking full advantage of her opportunities.
Rumer even garnered critical acclaim for her performances in the flick “Sorority Row” and sudsy cable drama “The Secret Life of the American Teenager,” proving that her parents’ sharp acting chops haven’t fallen far from the tree! Just this week, news broke that luxury fashion house Badgley Mischka has tapped the 22-year-old beauty to star as the face of their Spring 2011 ad campaign, furthering her reputation as a savvy fashionista in addition to an up-and-coming acting talent. Rumer will showcase the line’s luxe eveningwear throughout next spring and summer. Even more exciting is the fact that the young starlet will also be fronting the pictorials for Mark + James, Badgley Mischka’s contemporary collection of swimwear, shoes and accessories.
The sophisticated designers behind some of the most buzzed-about wedding gowns in history are “rumered” to be ecstatic about their new spokesgal. When they spoke to People Style Watch this week, they said, “We adore Rumer, she is glamorous, youthful and fun, [and] captures the spirit of all of our spring collections.” We couldn’t agree more – and love when designers choose lesser known, stars on the rise to head their ad campaigns. From the preliminary photos, we think Rumer will be a perfect fit for the elegant brand, and can’t wait to see the full photo spread.
