Some people we know are big fans of Amy Adams. She’s certainly a glowing star in her own right, but we aren’t big fans of how she graced the red carpet last Wednesday night.
At the Style Awards, Amy waltzed on the carpet in a Giambattista Valli Couture sequin dress with a sateen belt. She also wore plain black pumps and light makeup. While I like her makeup, I think Ms. Adams simply overdid it. The purple dress was too bright, too flashy, and it distracted us from her beautiful face. The sateen belt wasn’t different enough from the dress to properly contrast it, so it kind of just blended into the scenery.
It wasn’t an outright awful night for Amy, but we are pretty sure that she can do better. She’s been glam before, and we are sure that she can do it again.
