He who collaborates with celebrities and designs clothes worn by celebrities, Christian Audigier, is going to unveil the Christian Audigier Spring 2009 Collection “American Lord” on the main stage at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. in Culver City.
A bunch of Hollywood’s finest celebs are confirmed to attend his show, including Britney Spears, Terence Howard, Heidi Klum, Sarah Larson, Kim Kardashian, Jamie King, Ray Liotta, Tara Reid, Mekhi Phifer, Vanessa and Angela Simmons, and Mickey Avalon. We kinda expected this from Audigier, knowing his great relationship with the entertainment world. We’ve seen his collaboration with Snoop Dogg before, and how Kimora Lee Simmons got all snugged up in a sexy SMET Audigier t-shirt, therefore it would be kinda weird if his show isn’t star-studded.
Audigier’s upcoming show will showcase the Spring collection of Christian Audigier’s eponymous brand. It merges two distinct attitudes; the formality of nobility and the anti-establishment subculture. Classic patterns of plaids and stripes are infused with Christian’s distinct trademarks of vibrancy, color, and Hollywood street-chic.
Christian Audigier’s thoughts on the American Lord collection:
“My namesake collection explores the rigidity of aristocratic society, and the need to rebel against it. I cannot imagine sitting quietly and properly in a stuffy manor having tea and crumpets without jumping on a table, turning up the volume and making some noise. My collection is the wild child of any aristocratic family.”
