Coming Soon: LV Bags By Sofia Coppola
We mentioned about Sofia Coppola’s deal with Louis Vuitton a while ago, and today, we have the results! Movie director, Sofia Coppola, officially unveils her line of accessories for Louis Vuitton consisting of slouchy duffle bags, discreet clutches and retro wedge sandals. Here’s Sofia’s thoughts upon entering the glamorous world of celebrity designer:
“To start with, I wanted to make a bag for myself and then we talked about making a little capsule collection. My friends and I are always searching for the perfect day bag. It fits all your things but isn’t too big and isn’t too heavy.”

Sofia puts her time and effort in designing this collection, working with LV artisans for about a year. “We went through a lot of prototypes but it was fun. It was always exciting to get a new one and I would try them out and add things.”

About the wedges, she said she wanted to design a pair of heels that we all can wear all night but still comfortable. Now that’s what we call thoughtful designer. Shout out to all LV fans, this collection will hit stores in March 2009.
