The Cruz sisters (yes, that’s Penelope and Monica to you) launched their latest t-shirt for the FERO Foundation (Fundación Privada de Estudios Oncológicos – Private Foundation for Cancer Studies). The exclusive t-shirt designed by Penelope and Monica Cruz will be made available for purchase throughout Spain and Mangoshop.com. All proceeds from the sales will go towards breast cancer research and treatment.
The FERO foundation has been working on research into cancer and its treatment since 2001. Currently, there’s a team consisting of 150 researchers on an international level, and within two years, this number is expected to double up. Dr. Baselga, the foundation leader said, “It is an honor for us to have a company such as MANGO collaborate with the FERO Foundation, promoting research into and development of ways of beating cancer. Economic resources are vitally important if we are to continue in our work, so all that remains is to thank MANGO and the Cruz sesters for their participation in this project.”
We think the pink t-shirt is rather understated when seen from the front. But when we see the backless part, we go “Okay, the sisters ARE celebrity designers!”. It’s stylish, it’s sexy, but most importantly, it’s for a good cause. The Cruz sisters statement on the tee:
“We are very pleased to be involved in this initiative, becuse it is a cause that we are strongly commited to. This is our way of supporting the millions of women who are affected by this illness and of helping them in their daily fight.”
Ah, lovely girls with big hearts! Don’t you just wanna hug them?
