After contributing in the world of perfumes for the female majority, Jennifer Lopez is spreading her wings to touch men, the Deseo way. J. Lo launched her new fragrance ‘Deseo For Men’ at Macy’s Herald Square in New York City on Monday.
We like the ad as it reminded us of pre-Marc Anthony J. Lo. Posing sans hubby brings out the real J.Lo and truly separates her from another perfume-launching diva (read: Victoria Beckham). Deseo, which translates as “I desire” in English, has top notes of lemon , yuzu, red berries and cedar leaf, a heart of tobacco leaves, guaicwood and orris, and a drydown of sandalwood, cedarwood, patchouli, amber and vanilla.
What a conservative yet very sexy approach to men’s fragrance. We expected something fresher and less musky. But we now know how manly J.Lo likes her men to be. By the way, we do have comments on the look she had on the launch event.
We don’t mind the fingerwaved hair and red lipstick. But in all seriousness, what’s up with the bubble dress? We just don’t get it.
Anyway, the ‘Deseo For Men’ collection consists of eau de toilette in two sizes, 1.7 oz. for $45 and 3.4 oz. for $55; a 3.4-oz. aftershave balm, $40, and a 2.4-oz. deodorant, $16.
