Justin Bieber’s Foray into Fragrance

We all saw this one coming from 10 miles away, and now it’s a reality. Teen heartthrob (and mega earner) Justin Bieber has officially launched his newest business venture – a fragrance for young women. It was only a matter of time before the blockbuster performer, who’s scheduled to open his own Bieber-themed storefront at posh shopping center The Grove in Los Angeles, made an attempt at female fragrance – and we’re predicting that it’ll be another Bieber bombshell. After all, the print ad and commercial have already made their web rounds, and are creating a palpable frenzy among the teen set before the scent even hits shelves. We admit we’re curious what a Bieber-inspired fragrance might smell like, and are equally enticed by the gorgeous floral bottle. With an airy name like Someday, and an equally ambiguous slogan like, “Never let go with the new fragrance for her that gives back,” we have a sneaking suspicion that daydreaming Beliebers across the globe will voraciously devour the latest offering from Hollywood’s biggest teen sensation. The funny thing about the sparkly ad campaign is that nowhere does it explain what the concoction might actually smell like. All we learn is that the pretty bottle features a heart-shaped flower in bloom and a flirty charm dangling from the bottleneck. Call us cynics, but something tells us that there could be pure balsamic vinegar encapsulated in that pretty packaging, and thirteen-year-olds everywhere will be wandering the beach this summer smelling like salad dressing – and loving it.

As much as we love to bust the Biebs, we’ll probably find ourselves checking out his newest retail creation at our local Macy’s – that is, if we can actually get our hands on it. But besides the borderline cheesy ads, we have to lend it to Justin’s stylists for finally putting him in a color other than purple. The Baby singer looks all grown up and handsome in a black leather hooded jacket and black crewneck tee. Now that’s a fashion statement that busts right through any age barriers.
