Ms. Jackson’s Pleasure Principle
Janet Jackson lives and learns. The pop star who had been identified nowadays with her infamous wardrobe malfunction back in the 2004 Superbowl is launching her own lingerie line. Ms. Jackson partnered up with Australian lingerie designer, Bruno Schiavi, whose design is known by the brand ‘Rey’s Shapewear’. Jackson’s line of lingerie will be named after her hit single “Pleasure Principle” in the 1986 album titled “Control”.
The 18 piece line is designed to accommodate all sizes of women, ranging from 32 A to 44 G. That’s quite toughtful of Janet and Bruno, and this, I’m happy to say, should be an example for all celebrities who are thinking of launching a clothing line. People are getting tired with ‘petites’ (yeah, I still can’t get over my rage when Kate Moss and Top Shop sealed the deal to dress only skinny women).

“I hate when you’ve had on a bra all day long and you just can’t wait to take it off — every woman has experienced that,” she said. “A lot of lingerie tends to leave those marks and be uncomfortable. This line is about detail, fit and comfort as well as beauty and making women feel sexy.”
The price for sexy comfort consisting of soft satin and flirty lace will not reach more than $40, so I think it’s worth the wait. Janet Jackson’s Pleasure Principle will be available in department stores somewhere around end of this year or early 2009. Ms. Jackson and Mr. Schiavi have also explored the possibility to go beyond lingerie, and this will mean that the next time we see Janet Jackson on a fashion show, she would probably be on the runway instead of the front seat.
Let’s just hope the hooks on her lingerie line is tear-proof!

God bless you Janet Jackson. Looking forward to being a blessing to you. Sorry for your loss, we will always miss Michael. I remember when they use to come to Philly at the UpTown and the Spectrum. Boy those were the good old days.
