This past week in Berlin, stars from across the globe celebrated the best in media and television at the 62nd annual Babmbi Awards. As usual for awards shows, the stars shone just a bit brighter in their best red carpet looks. Shakira sizzled in exotic animal print, while Orlando Bloom melted the hearts of women across the world in a dapper and classic black and white tuxedo. Our pick for best dressed of the night? You might be surprised to learn that it’s not a winner, nominee or performer. It’s everyone’s favorite fashion icon – and the night’s hostess – Sarah Jessica Parker.
The slender star performed co-hosing duties alongside Bavarian comedian Michael Mittermeier for Germany’s biggest gala of the year, and although she has a knack for knocking the socks off fashion critics everywhere, she even outdid herself this year with an amazing four wardrobe changes throughout the course of the show. Check out her looks and decide which of her four glorious gowns is your favorite.
SJP arrived on the red carpet looking simultaneously elegant and trendy in a nude-colored, one-shoulder sparkler by Halston. In true Carrie Bradshaw fashion, she nailed the entire look down to her accessories, accenting the beautiful tea-length frock with architectural Nicholas Kirkwood heels and a Judith Leiber clutch bag.
Once inside the theater, she made her first costume change into a stunning column-style dress with a sheer skirt, one of spring’s biggest trends. The Sex and the City star stuck with her neutral color palate and kept the sheer dress looking sophisticated in a taupe hue.
Later in the show, SJP slipped into a dramatic black lace Elie Saab ball gown from the designer’s much-coveted fall 2010 line. The patterned lace looked gorgeous against a flesh-toned bodice.
Finally, she finished up the show in a white and emerald green confection that appeared to channel her inner Disney princess. As usual, our favorite stylish Sex star wowed in several equally beautiful looks at this year’s Bambi’s. Which do you like best?
