Karl Lagerfeld Puts Impulse onto Macy's shelves
We’ve already reported that the King of Chanel himself, Karl Lagerfeld was in talks to create a more modestly priced line of clothing, handbags and accessories for Macy’s, but until now, those rumors were just fashionable lip service. We finally snagged a sneak peek at a few promotional photos of his highly anticipated line, and we can officially say that this is one celebrity designer collaboration that was well worth the wait. Style stars like Blake Lively, Emma Watson and Sarah Jessica Parker practically live in Karl Lagerfeld’s luxe Chanel designs – and now we can all have a taste of designer glamour in our own budget-conscious closets! Scheduled for an August 31st launch in over 200 Macy’s department stores nationwide – and on Macys.com – Lagerfeld’s 45-piece collection will encompass everything from tough leather pants to floaty and flirty chiffon baby doll dresses. And as if we needed another reason to bang down the door to our local Macy’s on the expected launch date, we just received confirmation that nothing in the line is over $170!
With price points starting around $50, we have a feeling Lagerfeld’s designs won’t last long on Macy’s shelves. In fact, we just might stalk Macy’s.com at midnight on August 31st to get our hands on the best selection before it flies off shelves, and permanently out of stock.
When we first heard the rumors about Mr. Chanel himself collaborating with a mass retailer, we thought it sounded too good to be true.
