Zooey Deschanel flaunts her quirky style at the 2012 Writer’s Guild Awards
Zooey Deschanel, the famous star of the hit TV series “New Girl,” recently enjoyed tremendous success in the entertainment industry. In 1999, she made her film debut in “Mumford.” She gained more exposure in the showbiz industry after playing the role of Anita, the troubled older sister of Patrick Fugit in Cameron Crowe’s 2000 semi-autobiographical film “Almost Famous.”
Recently, Zooey also showcased her impeccable talent as a songwriter and an actress after being nominated at the Grammy Awards and the Golden Globes.
Known for being wacky, Zooey’s fashion choices are totally inspiring. At the 2012 Writer’s Guild Awards in Los Angeles, the pretty star looked odd yet stunning with her not-so carefully-chosen set of clothes. The young actress wore a long plaid vintage gown by Shareen with a white satin bow around the middle. However, the floor length evening gown effortlessly complemented her shapely figure and lovely face.
The 32-year-old star blended well with the crowd despite the alleged fashion misfire. She was able to pull off the look and channel an effortless style that emphasized her on-trend makeup. She wore bright pink lipstick, black eyeliner and bronze shadow that made her blue eyes literally pop. Zooey completed the off-beat style with her long curly locks and charming personality.
The brunette beauty was also one of the hosts of the prestigious Writer’s Guild Awards, which was held at the Palladium in Los Angeles. Together with co-host “Community” star Joel McHale, she struck a pose on the red carpet before heading inside and presenting the nominees.
Featuring a flawless mixture of hilarious and adorable antics, Zooey’s opening remarks really matched her quirky style. She told the guests, “Welcome to Nerd Prom. Male writers, you are so hot with your minds and plaid shirts. Hit on me.”
