Katy Perry attended the 2012 ASCAP POP Music Awards at the Hollywood Renaissance Hotel in Hollywood, California
Katy Perry glams up the red carpet at the 2012 ASCAP Pop Music Awards held at the Renaissance Hotel in Hollywood. She was honored with an award for her hit song “E.T.” alongside her producers Max Martin, Dr. Luke, and Ammo.
After spending the weekend partying at Coachella in an array of daring ensembles including a totally see-through dress, Katy Perry went for a way more glam look. Music star Katy Perry sparkled on the red carpet with the strap of her curve-hugging in a shimmery, flesh-toned gown topped with new purple hair matching with daisy-adorned headband and and multi-strand pearl bracelet.
ASCAP was founded by composer Victor Herbert in New York City, on February 13, 1914, to protect the copyrighted musical compositions of its members, who were mostly writers and publishers associated with New York City’s Tin Pan Alley. Also known as American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers.
Some of the biggest names in music walked the red carpet at the event including singer Ne-Yo and award-decorated DJ David Guetta. But it was Perry who stole the spotlight with her beautiful gown with the unruly straps. Max, who she also worked with on her hit singles “California Gurls” and “Teenage Dream”, was also honored with the Songwriter of the Year award.
