It seems like the captivating French actress, Marion Cotillard, has been missing from the spotlight lately, most likely due to the birth of her first child, Marcel, in May 2011. At the 2012 Cannes Film Festival premiere of Rag and Bone (no, not the clothing line), the French Film known as De Rouille et D’Os, Marion more than made up for her absence by wearing a stunning Christian Dior Couture ball gown.
The Oscar-winning actress absolutely wowed in a dress with a black, strapless bodice and a full, royal-navy skirt with a black, patent leather belt emphasizing her slender waist. Her look was simple, classic, and magnificently elegant. I know everyone tries to find a modern comparison to Audrey Hepburn, and to me, the regal La Vie en Rose star comes pretty darn close.
Staying true to her minimalist chic look, Marion complemented her dress with upswept hair draped with Chopard jewels. Her makeup was soft with wonderfully crafted black eyeliner to emphasize her exquisite cat eyes.
Since she is a spokesmodel for Dior, it’s only natural that she also recently wore another Christian Dior creation for another occasion. That one was a more casual peach number that perfectly matched her playfully chic ponytail.
In her latest movie, Rag and Bone, Marion plays a whale trainer who loses both of her legs due to an accident with an Orca, and she must redefine and rebuild her life.
