Anne Hathaway has played a princess-to-be and then a princess in The Princess Diaries movie and sequel. The movies, which are based on Meg Cabot’s 2000 novel of the same title, were directed by Garry Marshall. Anne won the role over 500 other girls after she auditioned during a flight layover on the way to New Zealand. The film became a major commercial success and catapulted the lovely actress into stardom.
Earlier today, the 29-year-old beauty heated up the streets of New York by wearing modish attire. She looked like a princess in a Bohemian-inspired, floor-length, shirt dress, which was daringly split to the thigh. As she headed out to celebrate the July 4th holiday in the almost-see-through frock, there was definitely a hint of glowing beauty to her look.
The gorgeous star celebrated America’s Independence Day in style by attending a backyard party with her fiancé, Adam Shulman. Wearing the sheer, blue dress that flaunted her newly-trim figure, the American actress dazzled to perfection. She highlighted her look with a floppy hat, chic shades, and, unfortunately, a black wrist support because of a recent injury. To complete the fabulous outfit, she accented it with a blue-hued shawl with red detail that was stylishly wrapped around her neck.
Later in the day, the Brooklyn-born star changed into another floor-length dress. She was spotted with her dashing beau, Adam, and her brother, Michael, as they walked around the Brooklyn neighborhood. Miss Hathaway looked sultry in the floral print number. To add emphasis to the voguish attire, she slipped on a pair of light-colored sandals and finished off the look with a small, black purse, shades, and a floppy hat.
