These days, beautiful girls love to wear the same dresses that celebrities show off at glamorous events. Many style watchers take inspiration from the ensembles of esteemed trendsetters in the entertainment industry. No wonder we want to stay updated on the latest fashion trends.
Enter Freida Pinto. The Indian actress, who first became popular after her portrayal as Latika in the 2008 Academy Award-winning film Slumdog Millionaire, managed to look ultra glamorous at an event attended by pretty fashion lovers. The Rise of the Planet of the Apes star looked voguish in a pretty, embroidered, white dress as she attended a special screening of her upcoming movie, Trishna, earlier this evening. Hosted by The Cinema Society and Rachel Roy, the star-studded gathering was held in New York. The 27-year-old star was just one of a host of elegant guests who rocked the screening.
Freida’s cream frock featured silver detailing that perfectly matched her glowing aura. Showcasing a simple look for the evening, she teamed the modish frock with some classic, black pumps and left her glossy, jet black locks loose. She completed the look with trendy makeup and gleaming accessories. The Slumdog Millionaire star posed with Rachel, who was sporting a taupe cape top and black trousers, on the red carpet after she arrived at the event.
It seems that the lovely star is experiencing a career high these days. Trishna, in which Freida plays the title character, is based on a classic Thomas Hardy novel, Tess of the D’Urbervilles. It made its debut at the Toronto Film Festival in 2011 and is slated for general release in September. It is the latest in a string of projects for the stunning Indian star.
