Wow! That’s what we have to say about Kate Winslet and the myriad of changes that the actress is currently facing. Before we get to the divorce, the relocation to Paris, the kids, and the hot new bod, we want to talk about the hair! In case you haven’t seen it yet, Kate debuts her extreme new look on the cover of the April edition of British Vogue. While we are used to seeing the star wearing longer locks that fall from her shoulders to — in some cases — all the way to her derrier, she is now showing off a completely new look. Think of Linda Evangelista in the 1990’s. Now that you’ve got that signature short hairstyle in your mind, turn it platinum blonde. And Kate rocks the look! “I’m embarking on a new chapter in my adult life,” said Kate in her interview with British Vogue. “And I’m single. And it doesn’t scare me at all.”
In addition to going platinum — we’ve seen her in variations on the theme of blonde in the past — the actress is also facing an entirely new life. She is relocating to Paris in order to work on a film titled God of Carnage with director Roman Polanski. And, of course, she will be doing all of this while also parenting her children, Joe and Mia. Joe, who is seven years old, is her child with director Sam Mendes whom she is recently divorced. Mia is from a prior marriage.
The white hot new hair is not the only thing that has changed about Kate’s outward persona. At 35, the actress is showing off a body that has clearly been toned and slenderized. While she was curvy and voluptuous in her 20’s, Kate is now a svelte, booty-kicking mama. Her secret? Running and Pilates.
