The American actress has embraced her new life as a New York University undergraduate, highlighted by her impeccable fashion sense. Rocking the working student look, she was snapped in sophisticated attire emphasizing her professional yet youthful presence, a far cry from her usual choice of clothes fit for post-clubbing pizzas and library all-nighters.

The 17-year-old star sported the look as she headed out to a SoHo locality. She wore a vintage-style frock, teamed with a wide-brimmed brown hat and huge black handbag, perfect for loads of books. She opted for modest accessories no makeup. Her low-key outfit was accentuated by her shoulder-length blonde locks and pair of flat black boots.

However, the Twilight actress has vowed that she won’t be caught looking like an ordinary disheveled student. She promised to maintain high standards on her appearance and was determined not to fall to the “sweatpants” student stereotype. She admitted to People Magazine at a recent Marc Jacobs party stating, “If you ever catch me in sweatpants, that’s not good. I’ve tried not to dress like that.”

The War of the Worlds actress is the latest face of Marc Jacobs’ latest Oh, Lola! Scent and she had a lot of things to share about her latest endorsement. She said: “It’s been such an honor to work with someone who you admire and actually love wearing their clothes and love their brand.” She also confessed that she immediately favored the fragrance explaining, “It was exactly what I love, and it’s pink—which is my favorite color.”
