Estelle And The Belvie Bag

Gorgeous singer/songwriter/rapper/producer, Estelle, tries her luck in the fashion world by teaming up with fashion designer Jonathan Kelsey. Kelsey who’s known best for his shoe designs have been tapped by Belvedere Vodka to do a duet collaboration in designing the Belvie Bag, in conjunction with the vodka brand’s launch for Belvedere Black Raspberry.

Estelle’s thoughts on her collaboration with Kelsey:

“Jonathan does great shoes, let me say that for a start! He’s also a lovely guy, really sweet and it’s not often you get to meet people that genuine in this industry. When I saw the ideas he had for The Belvie I thought, ‘Now I can definitely work that handbag from day to night’!”

Estelle is the inspiration behind this cream and gold Italian leather oversized tote bag. Kelsey lined the bag with a raspberry-colored plush suede lining, which makes the bag all the more luxurious. Estelle has a personal definition of luxury:

“[Luxury is] Being able to have the things you want and really being able to afford them, to get them at your whim rather than scrimping and saving for them. It doesn’t have to be super expensive, just something you want. Me? I’m a ’shoe freak’…I love shoes, I have a whole room full of them, they’re everywhere, I can’t ever give a pair back once I’ve tried them on, it’s becoming a real problem. I go to sleep wearing them!”

The tote bag was launched on Wednesday, 29 April in New York, and if you happen to be in London right now, punch this into your organizer: there will be a pop-up store in Mount Street between 5-9 May. You can purchase this limited edition bag for £900.  That’s about $1330.  If this is a bit too steep for ya, well, be there from 9 a.m. as one of the first 100 visitors to step into the pop-up store on the 5th of May will win a Belvie.
