Hailee Steinfeld at the Los Angeles premiere of "Cars"
The wait is finally over and the highly anticipated follow-up to Disney/Pixar’s smash hit Cars is coming to your local theatre. Admittedly, we’re dying to see the adorable film, starring Owen Wilson and comedian Larry the Cable Guy, and are considering stealing our young nephews and escaping the summer heat for the afternoon on June 24th. But since the global debut is still a few short days away, we’ll have to be satiated by the Los Angeles premiere photos, and young starlet Hailee Steinfeld’s seriously fierce fashion. The 14-year-old starlet wore an amazing, mixed media frock from Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti, and even though we’re slightly beyond our teen years, we’re still planning to steal a little style inspiration from this up-and-coming fashionista.
We admit to being fashion minimalists who love a great little black dress and simple and chic nude pumps – but even we’re completely smitten with Hailee’s multicolored, multi-animal print minidress. In addition to being adorable and perfectly age-appropriate, we also think it was a great choice for the “Cars 2” premiere, where plenty of kids were in attendance.

Hailee completed her fashionable frock with a summer-appropriate denim jacket and black biker boots. We love the idea of topping a busy print with rustic denim, and think a similar pairing would look great on women of any age. The black biker boots were a great way to toughen up such an effervescent look – and we love the idea of young girls wearing flat shoes on the red carpet. Hailee has plenty of years to wear torturous stilettos, and we think her boots added a youthful touch to her look.

If you’re loving this look as much as we are, adapting it to your own wardrobe is surprisingly simple. Animal prints and neon can be intimidating, so try just one element – like a sexy leopard print dress or a brightly colored yellow sundress, and try pairing it with a Hailee-inspired denim jacket and boots for a more wearable version of her red carpet look. Finish your ensemble with easy, straight locks and nude skinny lips for a star-approved hair and makeup routine!
