5th Annual Spike TV Guy’s Choice Awards
In a veritable sea of other fun summer awards shows and galas, we can’t say we’re shocked that the 5th Annual Spike TV Guy’s Choice Awards almost slipped through the cracks. After all, it was filmed at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, CA on Saturday, June 4 and won’t air until Friday, June 10. But even though the star-studded show has been largely overshadowed by other events in Hollywood, there were still plenty of fashionable moments that deserve our attention. We’ve already checked out the red carpet arrivals, and can report with confidence that the nominees really amped up their sex appeal for the mostly-male audience. We loved most of the night’s sultry, skin-bearing looks, but our vote for best-dressed goes to Jennifer Aniston, who took home the coveted “Decade of Hotness” prize.
It’s a good thing Jen is notorious for having a good sense of humor about her universal appeal, and she accepted her award in good spirits, to a standing ovation from her fans. She laughed as she accepted what looks like golden antlers, and age 42, has never looked hotter. We can’t think of a more deserving “Hotness” award winner, since Jen’s been wooing male fans since she erupted onto the Hollywood scene.
We weren’t surprised to see her wear a signature little black dress, but this time, she added a few twists to her hair and makeup to keep her go-to look fresh. Jen spiced up her Azzedine Alaia LBD with a modern, sexy bed head hairstyle that’s super easy to achieve at home. Even if you don’t have the star’s enviable, yoga-toned physique, it’s simple to DIY her gorgeous lock look, no matter what your hair length or texture. To mimic the style, start with second-day hair. Spritz salt spray or volumizer into your roots and gently dry with a diffuser. Finish your undone ‘do with flexible-hold hairspray to help your waves keep their shape without getting crispy for a Jen-inspired summer style.
