We already knew Jennifer Garner was one of the hardest working mothers in Hollywood, but we admit that we sometimes question her style statements. We don’t fault her for her fashion flubs – after all, she runs around after daughters Violet and Seraphina all day – and we can certainly understand that making People’s Best Dressed List isn’t exactly at the top of her priorities. Recently though, the gorgeous brunette (and Neutrogena spokesmodel) has been changing our minds about her style savvy, and has been upping her game on the red carpet and surprising all of her critics.
On Saturday, June 11th, we spotted Jen arriving at the 10th Annual Chrysalis Butterfly Ball in Los Angeles in a stunning strapless LBD courtesy of Prada. The short, strapless silhouette worked perfectly for Jennifer, and she even added an unexpected Ferragamo leather belt, and finished her look with a pair of drool-worthy satin platform peep toes.
This year the gala was held at the private estate of Susan Harris and Hayward J. Kaiser, in the exclusive Mandeville Canyon area of L.A. – and the stars came out in droves to support the cause. Chrysalis is a nonprofit organization that offers monetary grants to help the homeless and disabled get back on their feet and find gainful employment, so we weren’t surprised to see Jennifer, a known philanthropist, in attendance. We always love to see our favorite celebrities donate their time to charitable causes, and it’s even better when they arrive in seriously stylish celeb fashion!
We adore classic little black dresses, but it can be tricky to make your go-to version feel extra special. The next time you reach for your favorite LBD, take a page out of Jen’s book and define your waist with a tough leather belt.
