Julia Stiles Launched Fake Clothing Line

Remember Julia Stiles?  You know, the girl who starred in the teen movie titled “Ten Things I Hate About You” with the late Heath Ledger, a long long time ago?  Well, everybody’s buzzing about her on Twitter and online media, due to her new “all-green clothing line” footage released yesterday.  Here’s the hilarious footage.

Of course the clothing line is fake!

The actress slapped a few people and things while she was at it with her parody and made us laugh harder than we think we could.  Our favorite was the last one where she introduced “Save The Last Shants”, a shirt which could also double up as pants (shirt + pants = shants, get it?).  Julia stated:

“I was just shooting in Belize and in St. Tropez and I met this homeless man who had never owned a shirt in his life. He had taken his pants and worn them as a shirt, and I just thought it was so creative. He was just liberated from the conventions of fashion.”

She’s probably referring to model, Erin Wasson, who once said a rather insensitive comment on how homeless people have the best style. *shaking head*

Anyway, in the video, Julia Stiles mentioned her website www.juliastilesstyles.com and when you go there, you’d find all the clothes featured in the footage.  Try clicking ‘purchase’ on the ridiculously-priced clothes and you’ll end up on a page that says it’s all sold out, but you will be suggested to donate to a charity called The Lunch Box Fund.

The Lunchbox Fund is an organization that address the needs of impoverished students at Meadowlands High School in Soweto, South Africa.  Its mission is alleviating the plight of hunger-stricken children within the South African township school systems and through Central and East Africa as well, in their development.  They aim to reduce short-term hunger, increase student attendance at school, provide students with food to increase their learning capacity in school, promote parental participation in school and allieviation of household stress due to lack of funds for food.

There IS something deep behind this humorous video and we applaud Julia Stiles for her funny and witty way in doing such a good deed!
