Even though Kate Hudson is reaching her sixth month of pregnancy with baby number two, it doesn’t look like she’ll be slowing down anytime soon. With a summer blockbuster, Something Borrowed scheduled to hit theaters on May 6th, Kate’s been busier than ever promoting the film. In fact, on Wednesday, April 4th, the stylish mommy-to-be traipsed around New York City making the talk show rounds. She managed to pull double duty, simultaneously chatting up her new movie and announcing her engagement to Muse frontman (and her new baby’s father) Matt Bellamy. Her gigantic, emerald cut rock is certainly something to swoon over, but we have to admit that we were slightly more impressed with the expecting mother’s four separate (yet equally fabulous) wardrobe changes in one day! Kate began her day early with Matt Lauer, flashing her huge sparkler alongside her burgeoning baby bump. We were glad to see the star looking happier than she has in years, and are delighted to report that she chose a pitch-perfect morning show wardrobe. Her lavender minidress with cute cap sleeves was just edgy enough for the morning show crowd, and her nude peep toe slingbacks were her best accessory.
After Today, Kate quickly changed into a multicolored bandana-style frock and flesh-tone blazer. Flowing, hippie-chick dresses are great for expecting mothers, because they provide plenty of wiggle room to grow throughout a pregnancy, yet still look great. Kate’s vibrant purple Christian Louboutins completed her street chic style to perfection. Next, Kate arrived at the Ed Sullivan Theatre to film a segment with David Letterman – in a different frock! She kept her beige jacket, but swapped out her dress for a gauzy white confection and ballerina pink Louboutins.
Finally, Kate ended her night on-set with Letterman, in a spaghetti strap little black dress with tiny flecks of silver sparkle. We’re dying over her towering black satin peep toe platforms, and plan to grab a similar pair for our (non-pregnant) selves! Which of Kate’s wardrobe changes was your favorite?
