It looks like we’re not the only ones ready or the fall fashion season! It may still be August, but most of our favorite stylish celebrities have already debuted some of their best Fall 2011 outfits, and Katie Holmes is no exception. In fact, we caught her interview with Jay Leno on Tuesday, August 2nd – and are utterly smitten with her fall color palate. We commend her for braving the Burbank heat in leather pants and a sweater, but we’re sure the studio was cool enough for her autumn ensemble. Read below for more details about Katie’s camel-and-crimson color palate, and learn how to achieve a similar silhouette on a budget!
Katie was on set to promote her latest horror flick, Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark, but she looked anything but frightening for her appearance. She was positively glowing in a fall-ready perforated camel colored “Saltspring” sweater by Madewell and a seriously fierce pair of red leather cropped skinny pants by Isabel Marant. She tied both warm hues together with her amazing two-toned patent leather Prada loafers, which gave us a major case of fall shoe envy. If you’re as smitten with this look as we are, you’ll be happy to know that you don’t need to bust your autumn shopping budget to recreate it!
Even if leather pants aren’t your style, it’s easy to mimic this silhouette with a pair of trendy red denim this fall! Colored denim is everywhere now, from Barney’s to Target, so find your perfect fit and wear them to death all year long. Pair your new red pieces with warm shades of camel, coffee and cappuccino for a modern twist on neutrals.
Katie kept her fall pieces summer appropriate on set by complimenting her outfit with a flirty and fun voluminous ponytail. This look couldn’t be easier to DIY – and all you’ll need is a simple teasing comb! Pull all your locks into a mid-height pony, and use the pointy end of your comb to create volume at the crown of your head. Mist with hairspray for a Katie-approved look that lasts all day!
